If the judges are elected, it time to get the sitting judges presiding over those kinds of cases and giving these lax “sentences” voted out. Same with your sheriffs. And, honestly, every island I’ve lived on has been like this—- and it’s frustrating and dangerous AF.

This is unacceptable. Lots of abusive jerks profess their love in order to regain access to their victims. How was the court swayed by that?!
