I am the clean one in our family. My husband couldn’t be less aware of messes and dirt if he were in a coma. Because I’m the one who loves and needs clean, I take care of it. It’s easier for me to deal with it because, even if he cleans things to his (key word) satisfaction, it’s not clean enough for me. Because it

Yeah, I interpreted the phrase to mean ‘getting back to nature.’ I’ll be hiding, hiking, and canyoneering in the high desert instead of actual cowboy-ing.

Running away and “rediscovering [my] cowboy roots” is exactly what I’ve spent the last twenty-six hours planning.

I’d buy one. Probably more.

If you’re lucky, you’ll land somewhere near a friendly person with awesome big dogs to play with. I love the big dogs— it’s like snuggling with a living, breathing, teddy bear.

He’s so snuggly. It’s so warm and comforting.

I had an undercut for most of the last year and it was SUPER comfortable and easy. It definitely made blow-drying much faster for me. It also made the summer much less sweaty around my neck and scalp.

This was a visual rebellion against my move to GA. Plus I had no one to talk me out of it up here, as all my friends are back in the Keys. My Keys-area stylist is a friend and she was aghast.

Well, I’m done for the night: my dog just laid down beside me and put his head on my lap to sleep. I will be here, doing nothing but reading this blog til he moves.

I decided that it was time to grow out the undercut, which will make for an awkward hair year. Here I am, in my mid thirties, still having awkward hair years. So much for being refined.

That’s how I make my broccoli rabe. I like to add a bunch of red pepper flakes to it, too. So tasty.

She was beautiful; that face—- so smart and knowing. I’m sorry to read of her passing. It’s never easy; my gsdx is getting to that point where it’s going to happen sooner than later, and I have already cried more than twice over it.

I’ve had good luck with an oil cleanser by AmorePacific. I find that it’s gentle enough for me to use every day and not need a moisturizer afterward. I also really, really LOVED Tacha’s crushed pearl/rice bran polishing powder cleanser. It was gentle, too, but super pricey.

It is, but I think it’s worth it. My skin’s sensitive and kind-of muddled looking after years of working in the sun, and this powder helps even things out while bringing out the best parts of my facial structure.

Oh my. That is... something.

I mentioned that I bought their Dim Lighting highlighter and how much I loved it— the smell, the shade, the blendability, how pretty it is the compact, etc. I said that I really wanted to try a blush, and BuntyPeach made the recommendation. It was a little risky (hello, drunk online shopping, I love you) but paid off.

LITERALLY a holy grail blush for me. Thank you!

...wwooooow... That is some intense weirdness. How did you respond to it?

Last week, during your open thread, someone suggested a particular shade of an Hourglass blush. I tried it, and HOLY SMOKES it’s perfect.

Like I said, I’m glad there are less crappy aspects to his leadership. If it means he vetoes this bill, great.
