Oda has every intent of finishing the series. He fairly recently said that we’re about 5 years out from the end (I think that he specifically mentioned an amount of story he had left to tell, which based on past output one could calculate to 5-6 years).

Does this mean all reviewers were playing pre-launch copies without protection? Or did they try to convince people to play this on console instead?

The anime started catching up to the manga very early and they’ve been innovating filler technology. While the average anime will use 2-3 chapters per episode, One Piece has somehow managed to shrink that down to 1 chapter per episode.

I mean... there’s a reason why it’s the best selling manga ever. Close to every week, and every time a new volume drops.

One Piece has a unique art style, but you definitely learn to love it. At least I did. It’s got a healthy scoop of humor and the art style is meant to be pretty silly and funny and exaggerated. The manga has also got absolutely bonkers amounts of detail (at least later on). Nobody would ever think this was a weekly

Definitely one of the most well-known animated series of the 90's.

Yeah. It’s “normal 2021 westerner dropped into fantasy world” for sure. Would be fun if she brings her phone and amazes people with it.

A bit yeah. I just don’t see the value of making depicting cleavage a sin that every developer should avoid. Is that female character incredibly badass and cool? Doesn’t matter, because she’s showing some boobies so everything about her is BAD and I won’t buy the game because of this!

I’m pretty sure there was a story reason for the clothes. She’s possessed by a demon and ends up in a prison early in the game. She just chooses to keep using her worn rags from that time.

Fair enough. So let’s say Epic brings back Fortnite the way it was pre-debacle (which Apple has said they will allow). Epic then at some point in 2022 add a link to an external webpage where people can buy V-bucks for cheaper. Surely it must be against the law for Apple to kick Fortnite off the app store at this point

It just seems like denying an app explicitly because it does the one thing the court just ruled is allowed, kinda goes against the court?

Wait... so Apple can’t legally force apps to do payment through their payment service - but they’re allowed to refuse an app on their service because it doesn’t (only) use their payment service?

1) It sounds to me like Artes are just returned to the way they were since like.. Xillia? They started out as a purely MP based fair for the longest time, then they introduced the Action Gauge thing in the PS3 era and removed MP costs more or less entirely (specifically to make sure people could no longer use Tsunami

The moment these jackasses have to pay money for a stolen phone number is the moment they stop doing this. They’re probably not racist enough to pay out of their own pockets to keep it up.

I actually thought FF7R was very good. It never felt like they were limited in dialogue timing to be able to say what needed to be said in a particular scene (see: English anime dubs).

I’ve noticed this too, and I think unless Microsoft does the same we’ll be seeing a very large discrepancy in the fidelity of PS5 exclusives and games that are forced to still be made for last-gen consoles due to some manner of Game Pass Promise.

The action is damn cool at the very least. If it plays well I can see this being quite fun. In its best moments the combat in FF15 was incredible with lots of airdashing and teleporting around the battlefield. If they can leverage that feel for a more pure action game, I’m all the way in.

Some of the lip sync was odd but that’s also super hard to do for multiple languages. I think the acting sounded okay but was cut weirdly. I imagine it will sound a lot better in context.

Broken taillight and stolen car aren’t exactly in the same category.

Please don’t retire Nathan 3.0, because that’s Nathan’s gosh darn kid and I need that game in my life. In like... 2024.
