The part about “going through tough times and deciding that I have to keep living” certainly sounds like some shit went down.

The most common practice by far is that they buy the keys in markets that have lower market prices than the EU/US. That way they can make a profit while people can buy the key for cheaper.

I think these guys would actually fulfill the orders though. While this is a very weird and shady situation, you don’t tend to get 1.7 million positive reviews by ripping people off. These guys have almost certainly sold at least 1.7 million working keys to people.

Now playing

I actually think LiSA might’ve been aware that this shit was happening, and that they were dealing with it in their own way, but that this all becoming public and affecting their honor and careers was too much.

Sounds enticing. Might have to give it a look soonish.

Yeah. He’s just got them lying around there at the atelier? Literal gaming history. I couldn’t help but think about what would be lost if there was ever a fire there.

It kind of sounds like some of the problems can be patched or expansioned away. Maybe this will be a real banger once all that’s done.

I actually use in-your-window. It’s a fun silly way to say it.

Regardless, paying back all money seems like a pretty reasonable apology.

California isn’t suing Blizzard. They’re suing Activision Blizzard King for problems at all companies.

Oh I know. They even appointed a woman for the interim leader role, just so they can blame her later when she fails at the task of fixing this. It’s very thought out.

This is all a real shitshow. Isn’t it time that notorious misogynist Bobby Kotick left too? The lawsuit is hardly about only Blizzard, and someone actually at the top ought to take the hit for letting this all continue.

I only played NMS at release, and if there’s one word I’d have used for it at the time “relaxing” would’ve been that word. I have no idea what the game is actually like now but I’m pretty sure I remember an early update making the early game more robust so it’s less easy to get lost at the start now :P.

I just kind of wish it was happening in a better game. I guess? :P

If it’s an article about like Zelda BOTW or whatever and you go off on a tangent about how Polygon sucks which has nothing to do with the article, then maybe that’s not entirely relevant discussion?

I didn’t write ymmv, but it stands for “your mileage may vary”. You’re welcome.

Moderating seems like a fairly unenviable task. What makes them so bad :P?

Reading this gave me some real account loss paranoia. Thus did I create new recovery codes for my google account right now, and stored them in several places, in case I ever lose my phone. Transferring the accounts is easy enough if you’ve still got the old device but horrendous if you don’t.

I’ll miss your voice on Splitscreen.

I mean... I guess I just don’t think unscrewing a screw and then screwing in another screw is that complicated? Surely very daunting if you’ve never done something like that to an electronic device, but Sony have made the process very streamlined. As easy as it can get for an m.2 drive really.
