My last name is a color. A simple, everyday, you'd find it in the small box of crayons color (and it's not tricky like grey/gray). Pronunciation is no problem, but spelling it is. People always want to make it more difficult or add extra letters. I feel like you should go with the obvious spelling/pronunciation first…
