Same. I almost felt really bad about myself, but then was like, "No. There is no way she had the experience for a DoCC job. Nope."

If that's the worst thing good ol' Phil says, the audience should consider itself lucky. He's a funny, cheeky dude, but he says a lot of inappropriate things (and seems to be pretty racist, as so many 90-something rich white dudes are).
I'm so glad I wasn't the only one with this response. It obviously has no bearing on the sexual harassment suit (sounds like textbook sexual harassment and I hope she wins the suit), but 24 and Director or Corporate Communications? I'm 30 with a graduate degree from a top-10 program and I'm only a coordinator. I…
I'm going with the drinking. That's preposterous. If it's over several hours, that's not even a buzz for me, man. That said, I definitely probably consume far, far too much wine.
I'm not fucking singing to you, Nelson.
Two friends of mine got married on 07/07/07. They are in the process of divorcing.
2006 grad here, too!
I used to really need the 4WD in the old Jeep, but I got so accustomed to being up high that I hate driving around in cars now. I'm driving a Jeep Patriot these days, which is basically just a sedan with a small engine that happens to be high enough off the ground to make me feel comfortable. It gets great gas…
I don't regret the Jeep. I bought another one right after, the last year they made the plain Cherokee, and drove it for almost 10 years, and then sold it for more than I expected to get. Great cars. The new Cherokee they debuted this year is an abomination.
None of my contemporaries knew, and it was a great first car. Sadly, it didn't last longer than a year with me. Some yahoo who'd had a few too many beers on the Friday boat home from work pulled out of the ferry parking lot and right into me while I was going about 50 MPH. I never even had a chance to hit the brakes.…
My first car was a Buick Reatta! It was Burgundy, an 88, I think. I didn't think anyone knew about them anymore. My dad drove it for a few years, then bought something else, but held onto the Reatta and gave it to me when I was 16 (which was in 2000, so it was already an oldie by then).
Wow, I'm glad they actually logged those responses. I worked at Vanderbilt's call center for a semester, and most people were lovely, but it was never fun to talk to the ones who weren't. And, like, a call center employee just doesn't have that much power getting the message up the chain. Plus, a drop in alumni…
Yep, undergrad! We were definitely there together. I hate to admit now but I was a bit of a sorority party girl, but had fun.
Haha, as soon as I see 615-343, I'm like, NOPE.
Just don't kill the messenger! I worked at the call center for a semester when I was in school, and it's not fun.
Goddamnit, Vanderbilt. If they call and ask me for money again, I will tell them that I'll donate again when they correct their sexual harassment policies (but politely because those poor kids working at the call center don't need to be shouted at).
I'm 30, and I can still drink a good bit, but getting a lot of sleep after drinking is waaaaaaaay more important than it used to be.
Haha, you actually sound like my sister when she's at a register. She tries to be fast and efficient, but if she feels the slightest rush, she panics and her hands shake and she drops things and it's kind of adorable.
Yeah, I try to mostly support my local, independent place, AND their coffee is fantastic. But it's also crazy expensive. The nearest Dunkin Donuts, which would be a tad cheaper, is in a pain in the ass location, and in the opposite direction of where I work and play.
Oh yeah. I have my card out ready to swipe the SECOND the cashier gets to my loot. I swipe at the first scan.
