I think they’re adding in events as they come (well partly to give them more dev time) mostly to keep time travelers from spoiling everything for everyone else. I think after the first year, maybe second if they want to give B-tier events/holidays some love, the pace will significantly slow down.

HOLY SHIT, WE’RE GONNA BE ABLE TO SIT DOWN?!  I honestly don’t know why this wasn’t always a feature, but w/e.  I wonder if we’re ever going to be able to do more things the NPCs do...  Like holding props.

Counterpoint: I once agreed to host a Canadian Thanksgiving in Brooklyn with friends. Our Canadian “chef” that evening decided she wanted to coat the turkey in ketchup before cooking. She claimed this was a “Canadian treat,” when in fact it was a bird abomination. Such turkey blasphemy shall never be forgiven, and

While I agree it’d be nice to see some more diversity in the holidays, the fact of the matter is the game is being localized and marketed through Nintendo of America...there’s no “Nintendo of North America” or “Nintendo of the Americasto be more inclusive of non-US countries in this hemisphere. That’s just how it

It is about sales but you can make money off of being inclusive despite what people say.

It’s all about sales. America spends more on video games than anywhere else in the world. It makes financial sense to focus on adding holidays relevant to an American audience. Adding content is expensive, and they won’t invest the resources on a holiday celebrated somewhere where they get few sales.

Will they ever add the ability to change the resident representative? It made sense for me to be our house’s when we started playing, but now my wife and kid play way more than I do. We don’t want to start over, but it’d be really nice to switch who’s in charge.

I don’t own a Switch (and I’m not about to buy one while being homebound due to the pandemic means I’m gaming heavily on my PC), but I gotta say all the fun everyone’s having with New Horizons does have me here on the sidelines looking like “I wish I had infinite money and time for y’all.” At least on Kotaku, it looks

also, I read on Twitter that you will be able to visit random Dream islands, is that true??

I’m an American and I agree. I think it would also be nice if they added holidays from other cultures, like something to celebrate Diwali or Ramadan or Tet

I’m hoping for quality of life updates down the road like what’s in those video mockups. There’s so many little things in game I’d like them to fix but they haven’t yet. But so far they seem to just be adding seasonal events with the occasional fix.

sitting excites me a little too much. I can finally make use of my picnic zone haha.

Inclusive hairstyles LET’S GOOOOOOO

Any time I used the heavy machine gun for a full clip”

Eh, I respect this kind of thing. They’re at least trying to make it right. I’m not about to go out and get XIII, but I’ll keep an eye on the developer and see what they do next.

I played the whole game this weekend and I have to say that it was the most buggy game I have played in the entirety of my life. I got the game because we couldn’t afford new games when it came out in 2003 so there was something in the back of my mind that was very excited for the chance to play it, and it was more or

Finally, know that we are working on a detailed road map highlighting the upcoming free additions to the game content like new levels, weapons, skins and modes for the local multiplayer.

Maybe apologizing gets PR that gets people to say “Huh let me buy it to see how bad it is.” No idea.

Like, honestly, who is playing this game for free dlc multiplayer skins and new guns? Why would you act like that is something fans of the game were disappointed over? We want the sleepy Duchovny and the comic book look. If you can't deliver the latter why bother apologizing?

The original version is on sale for under $2.50 on Steam, sale ends in about 12 hours from now.
