You’re right, those consumers are people will buy it whenever—more casual consumers though, who have vague fond memories or are just in the holiday spending mood, who wander in during the holiday season. Or just someone who’s never heard of the game.

Any time I used the heavy machine gun for a full clip”

Eh, I respect this kind of thing. They’re at least trying to make it right. I’m not about to go out and get XIII, but I’ll keep an eye on the developer and see what they do next.

Yeah, I was about to post the same thing. “Outstanding financial obligations” are a pretty loud voice demanding a game be launched, ready or not.

I played the whole game this weekend and I have to say that it was the most buggy game I have played in the entirety of my life. I got the game because we couldn’t afford new games when it came out in 2003 so there was something in the back of my mind that was very excited for the chance to play it, and it was more or

Yeah, that part infuriated me more than the shit remake itself. How does an experienced writer in a major gaming news outlet not understand that delays don’t exist in a vaccuum?

Finally, know that we are working on a detailed road map highlighting the upcoming free additions to the game content like new levels, weapons, skins and modes for the local multiplayer.

Why do people, even experienced games journalists, not realize that delaying a game has major financial ramifications for smaller developers? I’m not saying shipping a flawed product is acceptable, but at some point if you don’t start selling something then the paychecks stop coming in for your whole team, leading to

Maybe apologizing gets PR that gets people to say “Huh let me buy it to see how bad it is.” No idea.

Like, honestly, who is playing this game for free dlc multiplayer skins and new guns? Why would you act like that is something fans of the game were disappointed over? We want the sleepy Duchovny and the comic book look. If you can't deliver the latter why bother apologizing?

But like, who is super hyped over a remake of a cult game that would only buy it over Christmas. Usually remakes/remasters drop year round. Its not like kids are anxiously awaiting XIII under the Christmas tree.

Blaming the pandemic is pretty weak, since there was surely no super important deadline they had to hit with this!

The original version is on sale for under $2.50 on Steam, sale ends in about 12 hours from now.

There were only about 10,000 Jedi in the entire galaxy at the start of the Clone Wars and Order 66 had a 90% kill rate. Along with that Vader and the Inquisitors killed most of the 100 Jedi survivors. So most people in the galaxy never saw an actual Jedi. While there had to be some long lived species (Wookiees) that

Even before that... at the height of the Jedi order’s influence, there were 10,000 Jedi Knights in the entire galaxy. That’s just 10,000 people in a galaxy of trillions and trillions.

I’d definitely want to live in Hyrule because if you look at the side characters, almost everyone is happy. Even the timelines where the land is destroyed like Wind Waker or Breath of the Wild, like 90% of the people never let it get them down, and if they are down, odds are a nice man in green is gonna help you out

Objectivists are predominantly assholes, but it does not follow that every asshole is an objectivist.

Now playing

Living in the heavy metal album cover-inspired world of Brütal Legend would be just plain awesome.

I’m thinking more along the lines of quick resume for playing multiple games in a multi user house. My kids will want to play Paw Patrol or something and I’ll want to quickly jump back into Watch Dogs later on in the night without having to reboot everything.

The thing about Quick Resume is later in the gen when games are taking closer to normal amounts of time to load, which they will, quick resume will still work. Not to mention that saving and loading arent universal things in how theyre applied. This functionality changes whats possible with EG a Souls game.
