I think people outside of the game-o-sphere are more used to this kind of naming convention than they’re getting credit for. High-end machine has “X” designation, lower end machine has “S” designation, with Microsoft having ditched the middle of the road option this go-round, at least for the time being.

I kinda like it!

It’s not for “us”, meaning enthusiasts. This would be a cheaper introductory console. Pair it with Game Pass and you have pretty much the cheapest entry into next gen.

As below, the same reason they went with 360 instead of Xbox 2. Didn’t want to be compared to Sony with a smaller number.

I mean that makes sense, but they aren’t willing to call anything numerically less than a ‘5’ for obvious reasons.

They learned from the gamertag data they collected all along. All these XxXDarksasuke666XxX weren’t for nothing

Dammit. I was counting on the next season of Venture Brothers to take the sting out of the first year of the Ivanka Trump administration.

Yeah, that’s how I’ve been reading it.

It feels more like posturing than reasoning - if not flat out marketing.

I’ve told this story on here before but fuck it, one more time.

What a ridiculous argument. Obviously the next Judge Dredd should be played by Angela Lansbury.

Nintendo’s main goal nowadays appears to be to try to constantly out weird themselves.

No clue about the Battle Royale, though the speculator in me thinks they’ll replace it with a Zelda-themed one after March.

More than likely, they plan on putting N64 games on the Switch Online service sometime next year and want Mario 64 as one of the featured games.

Maybe they’re just pretending they’ll be limited releases and then when people inevitably want them to stick around they’ll look like heroes when they ditch the end date.

The duality of fan.

This is much better, now that the privacy notice isn’t being spammed on every page.

Wouldn’t be surprised if it was a Con-servative ‘action group’ spamming Amazon with complaints.
