Me, opening the article: Boy, there’s no way that they’re going to include a flamingly gay sentient street in the TV show.

Danny the Street actually appearing as a sentient neighborhood would be trippy, communicating via street and building signs, teleporting himself to different cities and places in the world, etc.

“recognitions” sounds like some kind of soulless corporation from a dystopian future.

Well, glad we got your contempt for people with substance abuse issues on the record. Several times, as it turns out.

When did I say I know any famous people? I’m just using Davidson as an example of how we can get a lot of information we’re not really entitled to about people when we’re not even fans of their work. How does that make me a douchcanoe? How about you learn to read before you start insulting people?

Social media is the weirdest thing. I had no idea who this guy was, but I kept hearing the name Pete Davidson around. I found out he was dating Ariana Grande (someone else I have only vague associations of) and that he was on SNL in that order. Then I found out he has mental health issues and now there’s this. I still

Well, as far as I know he doesn’t wish for people to be dead unless they can justify otherwise, which is the charming contribution I’ve just seen you make to humanity.

Why do we need Pete Davidson to be dead? What does he subtract from the world?

I’m sure if he comes on here, he’ll be really moved by the thread about how his cry for help is “well, actually” just him being a manipulative jerk (proven of course by the guy who would have the most knowledge about this -- some fucking dude.)

I don’t understand your point. You seem to be saying that ditching social media is some sort of manipulative behavior.

So, to review....the Pete Davidson history of abuse that disqualifies him from concern is...?

So in your mind, taking time off and getting off social media is solely manipulative. And it’s creepy and inappropriate?

The answers to those questions are the same for almost every member of the human race, including Pete, you, and I.

So mentally ill people are sometimes manipulative.  That’s certainly proof that they are unwell.  The best thing to do is get them treatment and help, not blast them online.  Your comment is the equivalent of telling someone in a car wreck to stop bleeding all over everything because they need to keep that blood in

This is the shittiest fucking take possible.

Yeah, especially considering he is very well known for having a mental disorder that frequently causes people to attempt suicide. Stuff like that is so irresponsible. Then they act sympathetic when people they pick on talk about being distressed. If they’re Bill Cosby, then yeah pick on them. If they make bad

Yeah Jezebel really loves to pick people to hate. I mean we’re all guilty of that sometimes, but I don’t go around publishing articles. Unless they’re actively doing harm it’s best to just think whatever and ignore.

I like Pete. I think he does a good job on the show and even when a bit flops I still find him enjoyable to watch. I hope he finds some sort of peace.

For the longest time, we have pretended that “snark” is some kind of good thing, and generally “being ironic,” and all of the other euphemisms we use for being assholes to other people.

The internet is a poison. I hope this dude overcomes his struggles.
