Yeah, my older sister had a manual ‘90 Probe GT in high school that I used to borrow regularly. I remember it being quite a lot of fun once the turbo spooled up.

I love this.

Same. I still go back to Civ V pretty regularly (as recently as last week.) It is just a really polished, near-perfect game that you can dive into and emerge days later wondering how you “one more turn’d” that many hours away.

For what it’s worth, I’m pretty sure most of those embedded ads typically pick their content based on your browsing history, rather than any input from the site they appear on.

Yeah, the smoothing seems like it should be an option you can toggle.

Some indeterminate number of days ago, a villager on my Animal Crossing island said something celebratory about it being Saturday, and my initial reaction was to laugh at her. “Silly goat, it’s only Thurs-... wait... *checks phone* WHAAAT is happening.”

This is nowhere near as crazy or interesting as that, but there was a stretch of time in college where I was obsessively playing “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2" (yes I’m old) and one day when I was able to tear myself away from the game long enough to ride my real-life skateboard across campus to class, I had the thought to

(Oh man, this example... I feel like I’m about to tell my kids the dog didn’t really go to live at the farm...)

That’s fair. The idea that fans want closure. I, too, would like to see the conclusion to Freeman’s journey.

Looking over this comment section, let me see if I’ve got this straight: When game companies settle for shipping a “good enough” sequel that doesn’t do anything groundbreaking, fans complain.

Speaking of Akira, I have my VHS copy here that I bought at some point in the 1990's, back when there was only one store within 60 miles where one could purchase anime.

I wondered the same thing. It looks like we’ll be able access to the content here, but they want an email address in order to access the livestreams. (I entered mine, but haven’t gotten any confirmation emails or anything yet.)

This might seem obvious to some, but I don’t think the post mentioned that PC players can download the game through Blizzard’s Battle.net launcher.

I should probably clarify. The only thing I think would be ridiculous would be the incongruity of a fairly unassuming car paired with a bat-themed costume. It is the costume which becomes the ridiculous element.

I love the look of this, and I am perfectly fine with a bit of “it’s a movie,” reality-bending, but I’m really concerned with the practical considerations of having an engine that heavy situated on/behind the rear axle.

I give you full marks for the custom, Bat-appropriate license plate job, but do you know how ridiculous one would feel stepping out of a Mondeo (even a matte black one) in full Batman garb?

Okay, I realize I’m 4 years late to this post, but I can’t be the only one who looked at this (very good and plausible) idea and immediately thought of the “Jackhammer” from M.A.S.K. (And it was even based on a Ford! Although it was a Bronco rather than a Raptor.)

Man, I think you just nailed it.

I specifically clicked on this post in order to ensure somebody mentioned Beetle Adventure Racing.
