Bush wasn't electable in 2000 and he wasn't, in fact, elected in 2000. He won in 2004 because people didn't like Kerry.

I'm not sure what part of what I'm saying you don't understand, but I'm trying to tell you that Gingrich is unelectable. I'm not saying that Obama is invincible or that he's a shoe-in. I'm saying that nobody is going to vote for Gingrich. I don't doubt that Romney has a good chance of becoming the next president and I…
Not liking Obama and voting for Gingrich are two very different things. People not liking Obama does not automatically make them like Gingrich and, like I said, you need people to at least tolerate you to become the president. Maybe people won't vote for Obama, but they certainly won't vote for Gingrich either.
It doesn't work that way for the presidency. The Republicans would have to field a candidate whom people could stomach or, at least, tolerate.
I understand that getting people in your own party to vote for you in a primary election doesn't make you the president. I also know that you really need to woo independent voters if you want to win the general election. And I know that, although independent voters may be fed up with Obama, they wouldn't touch…

Newt Gingrich has about as much chance of becoming the next President of the United States as I have of becoming the next Emperor of Japan.
Cheating? How about "completely removes the entire point of the game of Scrabble?"
Couldn't they have found some slightly nicer clothes for those things to wear? I mean, come on, 57 million dollars...
What characters? There only was one character and he had about as much depth as the forced, farcical situations into which he was placed could give him.
Hurt Locker was a pretty mediocre movie (all style, no substance and a fantasy world retelling of the war), so maybe Hirshberg is on to something here.
Man, I hate people who hate people who hate Call of Duty.
I can't help but wondering why the man in the front of the picture has no eyes...
Jesus, man. I murdered an entire village and stripped their corpses naked and then ate them, but you sir make me sick!
When exactly did Apple and Microsoft trade places?
Whenever you see an article on CNN (not Fox, CNN) about welfare or taxes or government spending, you ALWAYS get the exact same kinds of comments.
Was there something vague about the "perceptions are all that matters" part of my comment or did you not read that?
Forget about the ultraviolence and child porn for a second... Kite was just really boring. It had no semblance of a plot whatsoever. If it had been live action, it would have been straight to dollar bin DVD.
I believe it has to do with concerns about venereal disease and/or possible violence against the girls. Not that foreigners have a lot of venereal diseases or are more likely to be violent against women, but perceptions are all that matters.
"1 in 10 women have worked in the sex industry" is not the same as "1 in 10 women are currently working in the sex industry."
