I was pointing out that rent-a-cops and bodyguards are already being used, not that they would somehow be invented under the circumstances, and absolutely not that they should be relied on for...much of anything.

First of all, I’m not narrowing any scope. I’m pointing out that you are building an argument on a false premise (that the reformed institutions that come out the other side would by definition be either, or both, less trained or less competent).
replacing them with less trained, less competent
I think the question is, what are YOU smoking?
You mean rent-a-cops and bodyguards?
I’m gonna guess that you’ve never seriously thought you were going to be killed because you accidentally made eye contact with a police officer?
“We just don’t know when our customers, who truly put the cracker in Cracker Barrel, are going to come back.”
This is also pretty common in workplace kitchens. Plop an egg in a coffee mug, “beat” with a company-supplied plastic fork, and use the company microwave. I have yet to see a corporate kitchen that has an oven and a communal frying pan.

It happened while he was in office and much more happened before he was in office, this issue goes far beyond just one president. Obama specifically had good intentions, but he wasted far too much time trying to get compromise out of stubbornly uncooperative conservatives, see the inability to appoint a new Supreme…

Cookie Clicker! Game play leave something to be desired, but who not would want to play game where you end up with billions
This is getting quite the workout.
I don’t mean “choice” like charter school, buddy. I mean “choice” like Catholic school or Evangelical school or non-denominational private school, all of which charge tuition. And don’t bother with “well, at least I’m not paying property taxes, I can afford it!” You’re still going to have to pay property taxes because…
Another good alternative to Worcestershire is a few dashes of an Asian fish sauce. It doesn’t make it fishy, it just adds a really deep and rich layer of umami.
