The shift linkage on my old Saab 900 apparently grew. One day I couldn’t get it into 5th or reverse, took it to my mechanic, and he told me it was about 2cms longer than it was supposed to be.
Those Saab wheels were actually made for Saab by Carroll Shelby, of Cobra and Mustang fame.
