The list of the most stolen cars has pretty much always been about the same as the list of most sold cars. Car thieves don’t generally target nice cars much more than a Camry (per capita), they just target what is easy & available and there are a lot of Kias easily available.

Given the number of times I’ve watched Air Disasters with how much of a disaster it’s nearly always been evacuating a jumbo jet with the crush of passengers panicking, I’m astounded at what the Japanese achieved. Big, serious kudos to what they achieved—that was as close to impossible as you can get.

Runway incursion? All I know about air travel I’ve learned on Air Disasters, but I’ve seen enough of those episodes to suspect that small plane was where it wasn’t supposed to be.

With all consideration and condolences to the families of those Coasties who died, that was still a miracle that it was so few people killed or injured. I’m sure the cause will become clear in the coming days, but the low death toll is still testament to the incredible safety procedures and standards of modern air

I tried that.

I rode 2 wheels for many decades. No matter what the law says, you, as the person on two wheels, absolutely HAVE to pay attention. It’s hard to argue the law and your rights when you’re dead.

Ride slower, look ahead, don’t just put your head down and blast it. That way you’ll be able to see if the people in the car are about to open the door, and be prepared to stop in time.

8 failures out of 52,000,000? Being safe is important but so is reason. NASA has a higher acceptable failure rate then that, let that sink in.

I understand that it be a very small amount of people being maimed or killed by these airbag inflators, but shouldn’t the ideal number of people you’re killing be, I don’t know, zero?”
Nope.
Not at one rupture in 33 years.
As cold as it sounds, the cost of making it perfect would eliminate driving for most people.

Interesting, raising your voice is causing a disturbance but crashing your 5,500 pound SUV police cruiser through the front wall is apparently not.

“Dear Penthouse...”

I’ve transited the Copenhagen airport several times. There were tall, hot blond women everywhere. I didn’t know what was going on or how I made my connecting flight, either.

I think the laws of probability would say eventually, sometime, somewhere, all factors will line up and happen at once, it is just a matter of how long and how often it is tried, eventually someone will get through.

GUNS DON’T KILL PEOPLE, MAGNETS KILL PEOPLE!

Shot in the ass and you’re to blame

Does “whatever it takes” account for NIMBYs?

Really? People would welcome the disappearance of cheap airlines? No more 150 euro tickets to Malaga? No more fruit and vegetables all year round? No 24-hour shopping? More expensive energy? Fewer cars? Reduction of plastics? No more cheap clothing? And much more? I am not saying these are bad things, I just doubt

Three-thousandths of a penny would be $0.00003

Same mechanics probably, The entire fleet of these need to be checked over ASAP, I’d ground the entire fleet regardless of model in case of sabotage at this point, it’s probably not a production issue considering the last one was made in 2001
