At the beginning of the pandemic lockdown, I bought a used VCR and a bunch of my favorite movies from the 80s and early 90s on VHS to re-watch them as I first saw them. It is worth it because watching a movie on 4K that was meant to be played on a VCR just isn’t the same experience.

There is a reason why Obama said that he was more concerned about looking forward and not back when it came to prosecuting George W. Bush for his war crimes — it is because he knew that he would also be liable for same if he went after Bush.

I am surprised that Biden took this long. He always has been a war hawk.

Remember, the reason that Obama chose Biden as VP was that he was a conservative Democrat old white man with war hawk tendencies. If anyone thought that Biden was going to end our involvement in conflicts and war were either uninformed or kidding themselves.

I still don’t put Dijon on a cheeseburger. Spicy deli mustard all the way. But, if it was reported that Trump put Dijon mustard on his rare steaks his cultists would stop ordering their steaks well done topped with ketchup and follow Trump.

Indeed. Though if they arrest anyone of color they will be the one person they will throw the book at and will spend decades in prison just so the DOJ could show that they are being tough.  

Sadly, these people are going to see a few dozen months at most while a black kid steals a pack of gum from a store he will spend years in prison — if he isn’t shot by the police. The “oops, my bad!” defense will work each and every time. 

Once you get a taste of it, nothing but a few hundred dollar steak will taste good to you — even if you are eating chicken or a salad.

This reminds me of the time Louisiana passed a law that allowed state funds to be given to private religious schools — only to immediately overturn that law once a Muslim private school applied for the funds.

I wonder if Sinema would be willing to get rid of the filibuster to get this passed or will she be the reason this fails in the Senate?

My favorite part about this bullshit is that most of the people who have been arrested were pissed when they were called BLM/ANTIFA provocateurs and said they were 100% MAGAt.  

The thing is these GQP idiots aren’t trying to gaslight the Dems or anyone on the left. They are intentionally gaslighting their far right wing nut constituents who he knows aren’t exposed to anything but fringe right wing media and who have been trained to never question what they are told by same or to research…

Exactly. That is why I think Tanden was a proverbial sacrificial lamb offered up as a nominee that Manchin could vote against — because Biden’s team knew how viciously she rightfully attacked his daughter when her company price gouged EPI pens — so he can let Manchin go back to West Virginia and show that he stood up…
