Uh, Florida? That Simpsons episode was making fun of people like you through the use of hyperbole. It wasn't meant as a suggestion.

Hey, that’s an outfit that says “I respect your sacrifice” and they know it. Look how happy it made the guy sitting next to her.
So, she is going to a 2003 era thrift store clothes only college theme party after this... right? Which seems respectful to meet with people who seem like combat veterans.
Well if this outfit doesn’t win over the hippest of cutting-edge youth, I don’t know what will.
Mitch McConnell and Chuck Grassley are obviously big tapioca fans.
That asshole is a fake account. If he dies, the world will be a better place.
Kirk got lucky that Dr. Taylor and any of her descendants didn’t do anything of significance in the original timeline and Scotty probably altered the timeline by giving away transparent aluminum, so I wouldn’t exactly give them an “A” as time travelers.
Exactly. And this is why Scott keeps making this drivel. Because he knows he was the least important part, and what’s more, people have been saying so since the 1980s. And he wants to prove he’s the most important part, because he’s a total tool.
Hot take: Ridley’s been coasting off Alien and Blade Runner for decades now.
Agreed with you but O’Bannon and Giger, but I never liked what Cameron added to the franchise. Aliens is a well-made, very entertaining movie, but its ideas and themes are mainstream and straightforward in a way the first one isn’t.
Please be a stand alone thing with only the barest hints of connection to the rest. It worked wonders for the Predator. So I want the Alien equivalent of that: new characters dealing with xenomorphs (ot even new monsters) in new situations.
Speaking of which, Prometheus was the name of the ship the Romulans took over in the Voyager episode “Message in a Bottle.”
I’d run into an interesting article yesterday where they interviewed former RNC chairman, Michael Steele. He was quite critical of the DNC’s national organizing skills, but also said that he thought that the media was flooded with bad polling data with a clear GOP bias, and that the actual election results were going…
I just remember Friendly’s as being the place mom or grandma took you for ice cream and maybe you got a sandwich but really you were just there for the ice cream. Perkins was the place you went with your high school pals when you were old enough to drive but didn’t have access to alcohol or weed.
A reminder for all our super-racist friends out there:
Finally! I’ve been waiting for a streaming service that combined my two favorite things: CNN, and movies and shows that are cancelled before they’re seen.
I'll take any opportunity to promote the Knowledge Fight podcast. They've been covering Alex for years. 700+ episodes. One of the hosts has been a consultant for Bankston. They've interviewed the two main Sandy Hook lawyers. They do commentary on several of the depositions. Great great podcast.
Except the article doesn’t say that and should. Every bit of news commentary on this case should be making this point exceedingly clear.
The larger [meatballs] may look impressive, but you have to break them up into small bites to fit them in your mouth.
