I’d take either King of the Hill or Beavis. Love them both. But I wouldn’t call Beavis and Butthead one note jokes. They may have started out that way in season 1, but what developed was a helluva lot more nuanced as the show progressed.

I know this response is three weeks late, and the scene was exaggerated for comedic effect, but...

Range is fine. Price, probably not so much. I’ve been waiting for the Kandi’s (and yes, worst named car ever). $15k ($8k with EV credit); 115 miles of range; small and nimble for urban driving + a good deal of space when the rear seats are folded. I don’t mind the mini-knockoff looks, and if the reliability is better

It’s been fun reading you! Good luck wherever you’re landing!

Technically, you’re 100% right. But practically speaking: when the sudden/unexpected death isn’t suicide or O.D., the family and friends are typically very forthcoming with the details. Wrong or right (mostly wrong), there’s still a lot of shame attached to suicides and overdoses; so when the cause of death isn't

Presumably, battery tech should get cheaper (or better) as ev adoption increases; and with less moving parts and fluids... It would seem that EVs have a better chance of staying on the road longer.

I love boozing, but I’ve never been a plane drinker. Not quite sure why. Maybe it’s because I tend to take morning flights. Sometimes there’s a car rental at the end of that fight. Also, if I’m sitting for 2 to 4 hours, one or two cocktails ain’t gonna cut it... So I guess I’d rather have none.

I think they’re a horrible idea...but I think they’re here to stay. Most of the population would rather pay $15 bucks a month to Netflix in perpetuity than continuously add to their Blu-Ray collection (or Spotify vs. CDs/Vinyl; or upgrading their phone every 2 to 3 years even though they provide the same basic

I will never understand the Kate McKinnon love. I find all of her impersonations to be so grating, and just not funny.

This is what I was thinking. I’ve never heard of car jackers killing victims, burning cars, and then moving on to the next kill...and inspiring numerous copycats along the way.

Why did they go with a height of 15".  It really isn’t all that visually impressive at the height.  I mean if they made it 1", then they could have the same mass at 3' x 15' x 1"...and most brownies are much thicker than an inch anyway.  Now that would be impressive.

We started doing this 3 years ago at the behest of my wife and kids. And every year I make the same stupid dad joke “I love driving 120 miles, and paying a premium, for the privilege of doing farm labor.” It’s actually fun though.

I get what your saying, and their can be a bit of smugness when anyone publicizes their good deeds... but if he’s already going to be in the spotlight for his acting and can influence other rich people to maybe do the same; then good on him.

the .125 mile down club.  Sorry.

I can’t believe the Miata wasn’t on this list. I know it’s accepted as the jalop standing answer to “what car should I buy”, no matter the purchasers’ requirements... But if you're over 6 foot that passenger seat sucks.  My buddy used to have one, and I'd take the bus before I took a ride in that thing.

Don’t know what that is, so I’m guessing I wasn’t (although I’ve been an onion/av club reader since long before it all went digital). Started reading the onion when it was out of Madison (and I was at UIUC)... probably 93-ish.

This is what I think about regularly (and not just for film). It feels like the internet has contracted so much the last 7 or 8 years. I used to frequent so many sites, AND message boards with such vibrant conversations and topics. Message boards are mostly dead (except reddit, which can have its moments, but sucks

It actually reminds me more of another burger chain: Freddy’s

I still enjoy his videos; and I’d say he’s hands down the best automotive youtuber (or at least, the least douchey one).
