The problem: every time I read about a restaurant trying to build all costs into the meal or seems to fail. Now obviously this is small sample, but I wonder if psychologically we prefer it the old way even if we won’t admit it.  Sort of how people keep saying they hate haggling over cars, but at the end of the day

That’s the thing. A wrap can hide some scratches, scuffs, etc. If I’m spending that much on a prowler, I want to know that its stock body is near flawless.

+1,000,000 for this. I get why, for example, retail employees/security guards are instructed not to engage with thieves, crazies, etc. It puts everyone in danger. But what are you supposed to do with a jackass at 35,000 feet in a thin steel tube?  Maybe duct taping his mouth after he was restrained was a bit

Here’s what I think was likely:

I don’t eat it often, maybe once or twice a year (typically when someone else orders it). But it’s pretty good, particularly when paired with pepperoni.  It's just a good salty-sweet mix.  I’d argue ham (not prosciutto) is actually the weirder topping.

Semi-related...but not really:

That’s the “dragged through the garden” Chicago dog.

Lots of menzingers, Lawrence arms, American steel, Sam Russo, sincere engineer, rvivr, iron chic, teenage bottlerocket, alkaline trio, get dead, smoking popes, cock sparrer, war on women, turnspit

I think they might be from Boston. Tough to tell.

There’s that utterly atrocious, but spot-on Chevy truck commercial making the rounds now. Some suburban dad “flexing” his new  Chevy truck tail gate. Showing how he can fold it out to type work emails on.  Again, atrocious... But at least it's honest about how these trucks are being used.

I’ve got a jeep wrangler, so I guess it can’t be too odd since there’s like a billion of them. That said, they have all of their window controls on the center dash/stack/console (whatever it’s called), between the radio and climate controls. I love it. I know why they did it (or at least I think I do): often times

But the Cosby civil suit for sexual assault predated the 2014 Hannibal Buress viral clip by about 9 years; and there had been rumblings about his conduct for decades. Now, the Buress clip took a megaphone to all that and made it a nationwide story.

The boom vang, typically pronounced “boombang”. We never once, not ever, cracked any BoomBang jokes.

I was sort of thinking of this the other day, and this was also just touched on in the Kia Rio review... But I also feel like apple carplay/Android auto has resulted in some homogony in cars... Although I think I prefer the word “democratization.”

I have to assume the only thing worse than an IPA is an IPA with no booze in it.  You can keep your bitter pine resin (sorry to all the ipa lovers... Just not my thing, obviously).

As others have rightly noted...let’s not mock her, bully her, demean her, etc. She put herself out there, that takes guts, end of story.

One of my favorite escapes: cop forgot to check the box indicating the moving violation statute ordinance I violated (our tickets have around 15 boxes with the corresponding violation/municipal ordinance for the cop to pick). I think it was an illegal u-turn.

I’d say yes and no. At the end of the day, all the principles that make you go forward are basically the same...but of course there’s differences.

Love sailing. 46 years old now, but I raced semi-seriously throughout grade and high school. Mostly 420's and 470's, but eventually graduated to J22's and J24's (and the occasional Ligtning and Tartan 10).

Holy shit!  That's insane.
