I AM a woman and was STOKED for a female MC in Star Wars, and I ended up hating Rey. It isnt anything Daisy Ridley did, she was fine. The writing was just terrible.

This was two years ago, I was so young and naive back then.
I use my launch Xbox One as a streaming device. Hard to believe it’s going on 10 years next year but it’s chugging along just fine. Combined with cloud gaming it’s still a usable system.
The Xbox One, like the original (and unlike the 360) is basically just a heavily customized PC (x86 architecture and such). Probably why it lasts.
Yeah, I loved the Xbox One (X). I’ve only just retired it because I finally got a Series X, but being able to play basically all my old 360 titles made the Xbox One just a perfect follow up console for me.
The sad truth, for sure. These people defined the genre not too long ago, and instead they’re now succumbing to what is making it all feel stale and obviously commercial.
Honestly, I’d be very much willing to bet many of the devs feel the same way that you do. One of great draws, and drawbacks, of the industry is that lifelong fans of IP’s get to work on on the franchises that they love.
The downside is that the MBA’s see Roblox or Genshin Impact making billions and decide they want…
As far as me and my friends are concerned Halo is THE co-op shooter. Not having it at launch is a huge fumble. I’m generally optimistic on XBox and think they have done a lot of things correctly this gen, but how many times can they drop the ball on their flagship title? Get it together, MS!
At this point I’d be surprised if Halo Infinite even had Master Chief at launch.
Honestly that’s kinda why I have a hard time with rumors of a Switch Pro. The only way this could work would be if that “pro” was ultimately really low-key rather than ground breaking.
Like, better loading time and/or slightly better FPSes with some more demanding games(but ones still playable on regular Switch)? Sure.
“…
There’s not going to be a Switch Pro. The “Pro” versions of the PS4 and Xbox were nothing more than placebos meant to placate whiny hardware addicts. Best to just give it a couple years (because let’s face it, it’s going to take a couple years for the PS5 and XBox Series to get going) and just launch a new system.
Games sharply drop in price in a matter of months.
Well, no one is saying to take away an Oscars or Emmys nominations from Directors that are known to be assholes or from productions that go over schedule or over budget.
Yup, still looking like Black Friday of next year will be the earliest I get any of the next gen consoles.
The only real way to prevent this from continuing to happen is to have laws put in place to make this practice illegal. Because it is illegal for ticket sales but not for merchandise.
The PS3 was basically one of the cheapest, best blu-ray players you could buy for a little while there, so I would say yes.
Over the last few years I’ve migrated my gaming from consoles to PC (even leaving my Switch to collect dust) and have come to realize that I’m more of a Microsoft fanboy than ever, even though I did most of my console gaming this generation on an Xbox One. These guys treat PC players remarkably well compared to the…
I just want to be the arbiter of how my games play, and that’s simply not possible outside of a PC. Closed ecosystems will always be hurting someone, and while PCs aren’t perfect (especially given the adoption of Windows/MacOS over Linus), they’re more or less free for the consumer to interact with on *their* terms,…
Nintendo does what Nintendo does. Unlike Sony and Microsoft, Nintendo sorta focuses on their consoles and tailor their games to fit the gimmick of that console. This is probably the reason why you can’t see Nintendo going multi-platform, as to Nintendo, the games compliment the console. Every single console they’ve…
Yeah, I pretty much just want to play Miles Morales. So buying a PS5 is just not in the cards for a long long time. It took me until just this past boxing day to buy the PS4, because it was super cheap, came with God Of War, Horzions, and Last of Us remastered, and Spider-Man was 20 bucks.
