Many months? The Xbox Series X is coming out this year, and it’s rare for a major console to be released past November (no doubt because they want to give people enough time to include it in their Christmas shopping lists). Since Halo Infinite is an Xbox Series X launch title, that probably means that we have four

I didn’t know that the UE5 tech demo ran at 1440p/30. If that’s the case, then you’re right. It would be a poor comparison.

“The Banished” is something that also has me concerned. It sounds so much like “the Fallen” from Destiny or “the Dominion” from Anthem that I’m afraid that that combined with the game’s apparent open world nature means that — like I said before — we’re about to get 343's version of Destiny. Something else that I think

You hit the nail on the head. This supposed showcase for the Xbox Series X looks like an Xbox One game, and not even one of the nicer looking Xbox One games. I was watching a YouTuber who went back to Halo 5 and discovered that Halo 5 looks better than Halo Infinite.

You make some very good points, though I do disagree with what you’re saying about it not being anywhere near as bad as the doom and gloom crowd are making it out to be. It doesn’t look horrible, but what it does look like (to me at least) is an Xbox One game — and not even one of the more impressive ones.

I definitely remember, and you raise a very good point. This more than anything else tells me that they probably (though I have no way of proving this unless they admit it) switched gears during the development cycle and decided to develop the game for the Xbox One first and foremost. The almost-final product just

Thank you for pointing that out to me. Really. That’s not sarcasm. I would not have expected to read something like that about Halo, especially since there seems to be no indication (so far) that the Master Chief/Cortana arc is going to be wrapped up in the main story for this game. I really hope this doesn’t mean

As you might’ve seen on Twitter today, some fans were less than enthused with Halo Infinite’s visuals. A few posted side-by-side shots comparing screenshots from today’s video (a preview broadcast over the web) to screenshots from Halo 2 and 3 (completed, fully polished games). Maybe you’ve seen a selectively chosen

Understandable. It’s different for me. This would be my first time jumping into the PlayStation ecosystem since the original PlayStation console, so I don’t have any PS4 discs.

I think we’re approaching an era in gaming where backward compatibility is going to be the norm and playing PS5 games on your PS7 will be as easy as going into your account and downloading your PS5 games to your PS7. I get the feeling that console makers realize that in order for us to transition to an all-digital

I imagine that’s going to doubly true for the Digital Edition. I don’t think I’ll be getting a PS5 at launch; but if I did, it would be the Digital Edition (since virtually all of my video game purchases have been digital for a while now). But there are so many people who are either hanging on tightly to physical

I don’t know if it has vastly improved my gaming experience, but I love the SN30 pro+ controller from 8BitDo. I use it instead of a Pro Controller on my Switch and I occasionally use it on my PC as well (especially if I’m playing a side-scrolling platformer). Its width across the top makes it great for large hands,

Aniplex is terrible on pricing. They also have the rights to Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and the MSRP for both Blu-ray sets together (all 64 episodes) is $249.96.

I tend to think this is how it’ll probably work. They might make it straightforward enough that making an Xbox Series S version of your Xbox Series X game might be as simple as lowering the resolution to 1080p. The key is going to be the CPU. If the Series S has the same CPU as the Series X, then I imagine that

I really hope this means that they’re just waiting until N7 Day (November 7th) to announce the Mass Effect trilogy remaster (though I would have preferred that to be the release date).

I’m sure balancing things and ironing out bugs is at least part of why it’s being delayed, but I wonder if a bigger reason might be that they want to go for a simultaneous release on all platforms: PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.

I gave up on The Walking Dead too. In my case, I gave up on it early. I knew I had had enough of its bleakness by the time I got to the point where they were on that farm in season 2.

I’m all for hard-hitting drama and hardship that characters have to face so they can learn and grow, but beating your characters down relentlessly turns me off. It’s why I stopped watching Battlestar Galactica (2004) after season 2, and it’s one reason I doubt I’ll ever play this game.
