This might be an unpopular opinion, but I didn’t think The Outer Worlds looked all that great even running on my GTX 1660 PC at pretty high settings. Visually speaking, I thought it looked bland and uninspired aside from the skybox. So when I look at the Switch version, I just see a softer version of visuals that

I’m with you there. I find it intriguing, but it just isn’t worth $150 to me. I would consider it at $100, and $80 would honestly be the sweet spot for me.

Given the popularity of Black Mirror, I’m going to say that Kino’s Journey is a good anime for a lot of people who typically aren’t into anime. Now, the Kino’s Journey I’m talking about is the very stylish 2003 version, though I supposed the inferior (what little of it I’ve seen anyway) 2017 version could work too.

Neversong looks really interesting, but then the last game from its developer was pretty fascinating too. His style is different from anything else I’ve seen.

Actually, the people who made it do want people to upload the video. They say as much on the Plandemic website. And that’s exactly what people are doing.

It might be if we’re entering the global recession we appear to be entering. Personally, I expect both next gen consoles to debut at $500. And if that ends up being the case, then choosing between the two would probably come down to brand loyalty, exclusive content preference, and power (Series X) versus what looks to

It’s something I have a hard time understanding myself. I’ve had the same smartphone (Galaxy S6 Edge) for the past four years, and the only reasons I can see myself upgrading would be if the technology in my phone becomes so obsolete that I have to upgrade or if it stops functioning for some reason.

I agree. Something like $600 would probably be a hard sell in these uncertain times.

I would definitely recommend waiting until the release of the Series X if you feel like you can hold off a while. Microsoft has been big on backwards compatibility, so you should be able to play all or nearly all of your Xbox One games on the Series X.

I expect the PS5 and Xbox Series X to be $500 minimum. $500 or even $600 would be reasonable considering the technology packed into those consoles, but that’s still too rich for my blood. I’ll probably just enjoy my Xbox One and Switch a while longer and maybe consider getting a Series X when Hellblade II hits (and

I’ll be trying to finish up Soul Axiom Rebooted. For those unaware, it’s a remaster (for Switch and Steam) of the Wales Interactive game Soul Axiom (released a few years back). Without giving away too much, I’ll just say that it’s an immersive, slow-paced, puzzle-heavy game with visuals reminiscent of something like Tr

Going to be playing some more of Soul Axiom Rebooted (from Wales Interactive) on Switch. It’s a remaster of a neat indie puzzle game with Tron Legacy-like visuals and a sci-fi story. It’s also a spiritual successor to Master Reboot, an early and kind of rough around the edges (but still good) sci-fi puzzle game that

I’ve been an Xbox gamer ever since I stood outside a Target at 5-something in the morning in November of 2001 so that I could buy the original Xbox at launch. Conversely, I haven’t owned a Sony console since the original PlayStation in the ‘90s. So I’m obviously on the opposite end of the spectrum from you.

There’s a Borg origin story in the post-Nemesis extended universe novels that I much prefer to the V’Ger origin story. I won’t say where it is in the extended universe because it would be a huge spoiler, but it’s excellent. And it’s an origin story that fits with the malevolence of the Borg far better than the V’Ger

Exactly. In fact — depending on how it’s priced — the Series X might initially be a money loser.

I know this is going way back, but Star Trek: Voyager is a good example of “major” characters being killed off in the premiere episode. In the first hour of Voyager’s premiere episode, Janeway’s first officer and another bridge officer are suddenly killed. Her doctor and chief engineer are killed too, but I don’t

I’m only familiar with the first three chapters of Life Is Strange 2, so I have to assume that it must get much better in chapters 4 and 5. Chapters 1 and 2 were slow and boring, and they stretched believability and good taste to the breaking point. Chapter 3 was far better, so I’m encouraged that things will really

This may sound odd, but I think I prefer the way it looks on Switch. I’ve seen footage of the way it looks on other platforms (never played it myself, though), and I was always put off a little by the way it tries for realism in its environments but doesn’t quite get there. It ends up looking like kind of a flat,

Hard to say, but my own speculation is that problems with the Switch version is the biggest culprit. My guess is that they had to push the Switch version WAY back and they didn’t want all of the other versions to be released so very far ahead of it. So delaying everything gives them time to properly finish the Switch

At first when I looked at this, I considered it just a novelty that I would never actually spend money on. But then I thought about it more, and you know what this pad could actually be useful for? Smash Ultimate. I’ve had a lot of trouble executing up-smash attacks on my right Joy-Con’s analog stick (they often end
