It looks like a game that would be at home on the Playdate.

There could conceivably be a Getting Over It game for the Playdate. All you’d have to do is make it so that you use the cross-pad to extend or retract the hammer in your preferred direction and the crank to swing it around. There would definitely be a learning curve, but I think it could work.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Any video game that features loot box mechanics that are connected to the spending of real money should have an “Adults Only” rating. That means that even something as seemingly innocuous as Rocket League should have an “Adults Only” rating until any and all loot box

I appreciate you posting about this. I have so many games in my backlog that I had pretty much forgotten about Shadow of the Tomb Raider’s DLC despite being a season pass owner. I think I’ll finally go ahead and get into it this week.

Something that bothered me was Arya’s decision. The writers had an opportunity to have a beautiful callback to Ned’s prediction for Arya’s future in the first season. And it would have made sense for Arya to abandon her childhood idea of being a loner after all of the heartache, hardships, and terrifying encounters

I’ll probably be jumping back into ReCore: Definitive Edition. I’ve really been enjoying that game so far. It was something I missed out on back when it first came out because my first experience with it was the janky initial release before everything was patched up for the Definitive Edition. Nowadays, it’s a

I’ll probably be playing Xenoblade Chronicles X for the first time this weekend. I just bought it (probably my final major Wii U purchase). I love exploration in games, and it looks like X is going to have a whole lot for me to explore. What I’ve heard about it is that you can go pretty much anywhere you can see, so

Grabbing screenshots on my Xbox One isn’t very cumbersome for me, but maybe it’s just because I’ve gotten used to the process. All I do is hit the home button and Y, and then I go in and share the shots I like to my OneDrive. Here are some examples of what I’ve captured:

I’ll be getting a little further into ReCore: Definitive Edition. I first tried playing the game a long time ago when it was in a comparatively buggy state (back before the Definitive Edition fixed things). Now that I’m really giving the game a fair shot, I’ve been pulled in by the creative platforming, mostly fun

Let’s say that the three games this $250 disc-less Xbox One S comes with are worth $60 together. At $20 per game, I think that’s low-balling their worth — but let’s go with that. That leaves $40 — which sounds like a reasonable if somewhat low value for the 4K Blu-ray drive that’s included in the disc-able Xbox One S.

I agree. This should have been $200 on the high end. $150 (with no games and maybe a three-month Game Pass trial) would have been ideal and probably would have generated a lot of excitement.

I love going outside the normal bounds of a game world. I’ve done it quite a bit in Mass Effect: Andromeda. Here’s just one example. You can see where the fully rendered landscape on Kadara abruptly ends and gives way to what looks almost like sand dunes cast in shadow.

While I don’t agree with the rest of your comment, I am glad that you see how unconstitutional it is to deprive citizens of basic rights and liberties.

There was a time when I was cautiously optimistic for Anthem. The traversal and combat looked fun and the graphics were pretty impressive. But all it took was the first story trailer to put me firmly in the “wait and see” camp. Everything not related to combat and traversal looked bland and reminded me of storytelling

Or if EA had allowed them to use Unreal Engine 4. Former indie developer Ninja Theory made the incredible Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice with that engine. And just look at this screenshot I took from my original Xbox One (we’re talking just a 1.33 teraflop machine) while I was playing Gears of War 4:

Adding the flying back was good, and changing the name to Anthem was also good. It sounds way less generic than Beyond.

I would have loved to see an Unreal 4 version of Anthem. After seeing what that engine can do with games like Gears 4 and Hellblade, I think it would have made for a version of Anthem that looked every bit as good as the Frostbite version — if not better.

I know it may sound strange, but I would say that a significant amount of immersion is tied to rumble these days. The 3DS got away with not having it, but the games on that system were either older home console experiences (like the N64 Zelda remasters) or experiences that normally didn’t compare with the home console

I like the idea of having a 3DS successor for kids and people who just want to play some of the Switch’s most popular games but don’t want to drop $300 on the regular Switch. My guess is that it’ll be priced at $200. But I do want the system to have some vibration even if it’s not HD Rumble. It’s a feature that’s
