I think $89.99 is too high. Should be $69.99. The light is nice, but you’re still getting barely over half the resolution of the new Paperwhite and half the storage. The new Paperwhite is $129.99. $69.99 is just over half that price, so I think that would be about right.

Super Castlevania IV by itself is a classic and a fantastic game for its time. I already have it on my Wii U, but I’d love to have it on my Xbox One as well. But besides having that one, it’ll be nice to have at least three Castlevania games I never owned. The only early Castlevania games I owned were Castlevania II:

That’s interesting. I didn’t know it was the translation that made those puzzles so obtuse.

But besides that, Castlevania II was one of the first games I ever played (Shadowgate being the other one) that actually had kind of an unsettling atmosphere (as much as you could have on the NES anyway).

Going to see how much further I can get in The Council. I think I’ve played through probably more than half of the first episode, and I’ve been really intrigued by the game so far. It’s like a Telltale game crossed with a classic point-and-click adventure game. What’s really neat about it is that the most important

I think you may be onto something. It makes sense that the backlash against loot boxes might have taken the wind out of Anthem’s sails. I wouldn’t doubt that Anthem was originally supposed to be EA’s next big non-sports loot box cash cow after Battlefront 2. If that’s true, then it makes me think that Anthem will be

The “cost of transparency” seems to be something that players have been bearing by buying into a downgraded/unfinished product. A REAL cost of transparency for BioWare/EA would have been for them to risk cancelled pre-orders and fewer sales during the game’s release window by being open with consumers about all the

Back before Anthem was officially released, I started up the demo on my Xbox One. After I started it up, I was distracted by something and forgot about it for a while. A couple of hours later, I came back to my Xbox One and discovered that it was running hot just from being left on Anthem’s title screen.

Though I’m running the game on medium settings to keep the framerate up thanks to my under-powered GTX 970, it still looks crisp and detailed, especially considering all of the action.

Emphasis mine:

I’m probably going to buy Majora’s Mask 3D now that it’s finally joined the ranks of the Nintendo Selects and the price has been slashed in half. But that might be my final 3DS purchase.

Then it’s really egregious that they charge $90 for it separately.

The HDMI cable is part of the Switch dock bundle. But the Joy-Con grip is probably worth at least $10 (going by pricing for third-party grips), and the wrist straps are worth about $16 together (according to the $8 each price of the official Nintendo straps). So you’d have roughly $116 worth of accessories removed

What I would really like to see for a different Switch package is nothing but the tablet, two Joy-Cons, and an AC adapter for $200. I think the popularity of the Switch would explode even more than it already has if we had a version of it at that sweet $200 price point.

I disagree. Microsoft isn’t EA. I don’t get the sense that their priorities lie with anti-consumer monetizing practices. For now at least, I think they’re focused on having a quality first-party line-up for their next-gen console. They need to regain market share, so I doubt they’d want to do anything that might tick

I could be wrong, but I don’t think any of these studio acquisitions will mean anything for this console generation. My guess is that they’re all working on exclusives for the next Xbox console. I just don’t see how there’s enough time left in this generation for it to be any other way.

In my opinion, the 3DS line should be treated as a budget line, with no iteration being priced higher than half of the cost of the Switch. The New 2DS XL should probably be priced no higher than $120 at this point, and the New 3DS XL should be $150. The regular 2DS is the only iteration that seems to have the right

Same here. I already own Origins and Inquisition, but not 2. Now I’ll have the complete set.

So you’d want to see something like the PlayStation TV (which was a screen-less version of the Vita that hooked up to your TV). I could get behind that.

Something else I want them to do is release a Switch with no dock and no Joy-Con grip (but WITH an AC adapter) for $200. Give people like me who want a Switch but don’t want to drop $300 on one a more affordable option.
