I still like the English (as in from England) versions, like ‘Saloon’ and ‘Estate Car’.  They sound way cooler.

Good article.  I still get funny looks when I refer to my bicycle as a ‘Velocipede’.

BRING BACK THE HHR!!!  Never have I owned an economical vehicle that had so much room up front and could haul like it does.  I regret that I can’t go buy another right now.  I’m babying my 10-year-old one as long as I can.

I think it odd that Harley is still being touted as ‘the great American motorcycle’ when they, like everyone else, are using World-supplied parts. Engines from Mexico, chrome from Taiwan, electrics from Japan or China... but still; “Buy ‘Murican!!!”.

Does the Vortec 4.3 still eat gaskets?

THIS!!!

They are all equally ugly.  Hasn’t been a nice one since my ‘97 S10.

Maybe, but the point is probably that few people will throw tons of sharp blocks or toolboxes at their doors.

Neutral:  The first one who makes a clone of my ‘78 Toyota truck will get my money.

Can it hold a dryer like the HHR?  Or the tall Billy bookcase from Ikea?  How about a love seat?  I’m looking at replacements, but it’s gotta hold stuff.

Every other vehicle sport gets to use at least a tiny bit of individuality, so why not this?  Give us SOMETHING to make a Chevy different from a Toyota... besides the stickers.  Even the engines are done to the exact specs, so who cares what it is?

That is true. But a fact BMW used originally to get around tariffs is that then, parts were way cheap.  So while the ‘product’ (car) was assembled in the US, the engine, trans, wheels, interior, steering, brakes, etc., etc., was brought in from Europe.  So all the stuff, shipped in as ‘parts’, saved them the tariff of

Neither party has been immune to doing that over the last 40 years.

Gru’s brother?

Really.  I want to know what model.

True!  Why let a perfectly good warranty go to waste?

We got our Buick through CarMax, and it included the paperwork that still had factory warranty, plus the (made famous here) CarMax extended warranty tacked onto that.  Unfortunately, or fortunately, I haven’t had to use either in 4 year.

And that with the Renegade just being a gussied-up Fiat!

I know they have a schedule, but trucks really, REALLY NEED speed monitoring and limiting.  About half the accidents around here have a truck involved, and mostly by going, loaded, faster than the speed limit, through our downtown area.

Seriously, that is one of my top 5 lines of ALL time!
