As firewall Admin, a site was either allowed or banned. We only drilled down if someone complained. Stuff inside an article on an allowed site wasn’t scanned to that extent. I never banned Jalopnik, Giz, or any of the useful sites.

I think one of the biggest (if not the biggest) problems with labor is simply the fact that the fight is taken out of them (us? I’m not sure where I fit in now).

I kind of think this is a good idea. I come from a county in NC that was ruined by the export of the textile industry. Huge, blocks-long buildings, once filled with spinning spools and humming looms, have been abandoned and rotting for decades now. No jobs there for anybody versed in technology now.

Navy Federal is a nice one if you have previous Government service. With Star and AFFN, you can use about any ATM in the free World for business. Heck, I’ve even used ATMs in Germany and Norway. 

I think this is particularly petty of Subway, and I will cancel my sponsorship of them by spending my money instead on donuts... or cheeseburgers.

After a year in Japan and Okinawa, I absolutely love the kei cars, and those little trucks that would be PERFECT for that Lowes run. The fact that we, Americans, are denied these marvelous creations has always boggled my mind.

I don’t think fuel is considered maintenance. After all, they would have to say what the electricity cost, also.

I love looking at these small bikes, like the Spade and the Grom. I’m looking for a smaller commuter /fair weather/quick run bike. But, no matter how I go to work, there’s a stretch of 10 miles of freeway I have to traverse.
