LaCrosse is nice. The Wife has one.

Hmmmmm. So, people in Europe demand efficient, well-built cars at a reasonable cost... and GM left. Japan also expects such things.

Jeez, Americans, of which I am one, are the dumbest customers in the known Galaxy. Japan had 60 mpg cars in the 70s. Mostly for around town, but most of us go to work, not slalom around the Alps all day.

Nope. Look at the Hellcat and Corvette. Money going towards high end (and high profit) cars. I would love to see some real JDM stuff over here. I would buy their little Honda truck in a moment!

Japan already has cars that get up to 65-70 mpg. Us? We got things like the Smart and Fiat. Small but not efficient.

I think I’ll fly my HHR over there to smoke a few Porsches.

Good point. People are so picky nowadays. Used to be, you were more concerned that it would a) start, b) go where you wanted to, and c) not break down so much. Now people get bent out of shape if the cupholder is an inch to the left of where they want it.

For the Japanese though, those aren’t ‘small’ cars. Medium at best. They are really, really good at building true small cars, which we can’t get in the U.S. at all. Drove a Subaru van there I loved. Thing was like, 7 foot long.

Great! So, no cons at all, you say.

Great article, but way outdated.

Ah! Had something similar. It turned out to be a timing thing. The part that chimes doesn’t always reset, but the ‘chimer’ goes off for x number of seconds. So if it was at the start or the space during a chime could effect how many times it sounded.

So, Takata... who gets the money? There’s all these fines going around. Does it go to the U.S. drivers who had the deathbags?

Especially considering that they’re HAWK, which by the time Desert Storm rolled around, I believe Israel was the only country still deploying them.

No mention of ‘Streets of Fire’? I think that was the earliest film I remember him from.

I saw that movie!!! Ice Station Zebra!

What’s the headline clip from? Isn’t that ‘Great Teacher Onizuka’?

I’ve got it! Go to Chevy, and start making the HHR again! I don’t care if it’s got a bowtie or a... whatever that thingy on the grille is called.

Anything with a comfy seat, an MP3 player, and a coffee cup holder. Sheesh. I haven’t listened to a radio in 15 years.

It does. Some of it is right thinking, and some of it is wishful thinking, and some of it is downright twisted.

Get a Chevy. I haven’t touched a light switch since ‘99.
