“We had confirmation from Nurburgring officials that Tesla had not contacted them about track time” is not enough to say this was done on a whim. It is just as easy to imagine that they were waiting for Porsche to announce their Nurburgring time before giving any public indication that they intended to go there. Tesla

going to a track for the first time in an official capacity is not automatically a whim! You’re just making it easier for people to point out how you’re making negative stuff up, Robb. In your opinion Musk was “not prepared” for this, despite having cars ready and shipped to Germany and running them on the track with R

your statement that this was done “on a whim” is wild speculation. you have zero idea whether that’s true or not. you’re only assuming it is because you were surprised by the announcement. you honestly think they built up an entirely new drivetrain and arranged to ship it to Germany “on a whim”? it’s no wonder people

Conjecture also gets one to the end more quickly. You don’t know how much planning they did, if any at all.

The only thing done on a whim here was sending a few prototype cars (see: pre-production, see: Taycan) over to The Ring shortly after Porsche made their run. Do you know for a fact there is no roll cage? That opens a conversation that should every car on The Ring should a roll cage, does it not?

Who’s dying in this scenario? The professional driver? I’m assuming he or she knows that death is a risk every time they take the wheel. Are you expecting the wheels to fall off the car at speed?

I’m not sure a Tweet declaring “Model S on Nurburgring next week” (which is exactly when the car arrived and began track testing) provides enough information to talk about the level of planning that went into this effort from Tesla.

What?! If Tesla skips all the middle BS and goes right out and breaks the record, how is that wrong? Or if they fail to break the record, but learn all sorts of shit that eliminates a lot of the middle BS, how is that wrong? Doing things right can be a waste of time when doing things wrong gets you to the end result

The Marks 4 wheel drive kit for the patrol and Land Cruiser 79 is about 16 grand AUD, if that helps.

Y'all are forgetting True Grit and that is a goddamn crime.

So he wanted to go to the Patriots because they are good and it would burn the Steelers, the Steelers said no, Rosenhaus is his agent, he has a series of bizarre issues that culminate in a demand to be cut, he gets cut, a camera crew following him around happens to catch him finding out and he starts cheering and

I ripped on AB up and down during this saga. But like a splash of cold water it’s starting to hit me that maybe, just maybe, AB isn’t as crazy as he seemed. Is there a chance he pulled a Boris Johnson, playing the fool while actually playing everyone? It’s feasible that he could have hated the Steelers so much that he

Yes. Thank You. My childhood goal was this:

A pink Donk Jeep with eyelashes.

Kill it with fire!

A) how much is a radical change?

The prettiest cars have big rubber.

We were also promised tweels.

I don’t know why you’re so absurdly angry about this, but here’s a post by SCCA champion Jason Isley explaining that an increase in sidewall adds less weight than an increase in wheel size.
