Yes, in fact. Though, in my experience, only over-roll people do this. I've never met an under-roll person who will go to the trouble of changing the orientation of a roll to match their preference.
Man, the 90's were a great time to be a teenager. We knew everything about computers and the grown-ups were just lost. They had no idea. And the hardware that was coming out was so EXCITING! I remember when the first 1GB HDD came out and my friends and I were sure that no one could ever possibly use up all that space!
My family got it's first computer in, probably about 1991. It was an Apple IIc. Monochrome version. I was just a kid, 12 or so.
Not what I'm saying at all. I'm just wondering to what nefarious purpose an acquired fingerprint could possibly be put to. I hear everyone worried that the NSA will get them, but I have yet to hear what people are afraid the NSA will USE them for.
Okay, ignoring the fact that the fingerprint data is only stored locally on your device in an encrypted format and never EVER sent anywhere off of the device, can you please tell me what, exactly, you expect the NSA to do with your fingerprints? In what way are a person's fingerprints of any value to the NSA? Save, of…
I'm not seeing the comparison on this chart of the cost to upgrade yearly on an early upgrade plan vs. upgrading yearly normally... I mean, every year, I get the new, mid-capacity iPhone, which is $300 on-contract. But, since I upgrade every year, I'm never eligible for the full subsidy. Therefore, my phone costs $550…
Wikipanion, my favorite Wikipedia app, has a nice update with a full iOS 7 UI overhaul and a new icon.
As an iOS user, I must say: tasker for Android sounds pretty amazing. Not enough to make me switch by any means, but far more likely to invoke jealousy than the things I tend to hear, like "I can silence it by holding my hand over the screen!"
When I was on a PC, I hated—HATED—both iTunes and Quicktime. And I'm sure if I were to use a PC today, I'd probably never touch them. But, as the article comes just short of saying, on a Mac, iTunes is perfectly usable. And there are actually 3rd party tweaks that you can use to add a lot of that "advanced"…
How'd you get out??
The only time you should mortgage your home to pay off debts is when they're credit cards or other compounding interest debts.
Looks great. Has no iPad version. Maybe I'm weird, but I hate iPhone apps on my ipad.
I've never thought about it, because the device I'm writing from almost never has any bearing on the length or detail of my message. I find it incredibly easy to type on my iPhone (I did a type test once and I think it came out to like 40 wpm... not great, but not bad, either) so I never have to be extra brief or…
Off-Brand Legos!
Obviously, the linked article is pure, real science... But have you looked around the rest of that site? Crazy conspiracy-nut stuff, like warnings about the dangers of Chemtrails! Here's a sample: "This is one of the most dangerous, covert, and global operations to which we have ever been exposed"
Hey all... This is my workspace. There are some comments about what the keyboard goes on in the standing position. When I first took these photos, I wasn't elevating them at all. That was an option because I'm pretty short (5'3"). But it did get uncomfortable after prolonged periods, so for now I'm using a breakfast…
That speaker isn't even part of the setup. My workspace is in the living room just to the left of the home entertainment setup. Though, Airplay does get the sound over to the system just fine, if I want it.
I'm 5'3" (that's my workspace featured), so I can relate. And I have added that keyboard arm to my Amazon wish list so I can pick it up later. At first, I was just reaching down a bit (which wasn't too bad, because I'm short) but I'm currently using a breakfast tray to elevate my keyboard and trackpad. This seems much…
One other point on a good reason to buy a Mac: If you're a chronic upgrader, they hold their value incredibly well. I just sold a 4-year-old MacBook Pro (first Unibody design) for over $1,000 and completely covered the purchase of a new upper-end Mac Mini. Basically a free upgrade, since my "Laptop" hadn't left its…
