They refused to buy anything and sat there despite being told to leave; even if other people were sitting there “for hours,” at least they had purchased something. It’s a business, they don’t want to give up seats to people who refuse to purchase anything in lieu of others who are purchasing. Not racist.

Still don’t understand why Holdo had this epic send off instead of Admiral Ackbar. That honestly would have had way more emotional impact than Admiral Ackbar just exploding in a little fleet ship.
