Back in ‘92 I noticed an ‘88 IROC on the lot of a local dealer. White, 350, beautiful. I went in to ask about the price. No price listed yet was the answer, recent trade-in, still need to go through it... They told me to check beck tomorrow. No problem, I thought. The next day was the same answer. And the next. And

I remember be stunned to learn Impulse/Piazza was on the T-platform! I think the Impulse has stood the test of time. It’s a great design.

And they needed Italians to design it.

Right brand, wrong T-body derivative. Although, even then, Japan needed help from the Brits to perfect it.

Pretty impressive for a computer render.

So, well... my EV has 4000 HP, can go 400mph, has a battery so advanced it charges itself and I’ll pay you to drive it.

Even if I could afford it I’d wouldn’t buy it because of the stupid name. Drako sounds like a Billy Zane bad-guy character from the 90's.

That’s all well and good for current model years, but brochures made a great archival reference. A buddy and I got into a heated discussion about when Lincoln stopped putting the 460 in the Mark V, and a quick trip to the brochure treasure trove at lov2xlr8.no settled it for sure.

Nice! I could waste a lot of time there.

This website has brochures for many old cars

The chip shortage isn’t affecting the production of brochures. It’s affecting their accuracy. Some features have gone away on various models/trims after the brochures were printed.

When I was a kid I would collect every auto maker’s full line brochure at the auto show every year. Had to double-bag it often to prevent the plastic bags from tearing. Shit would get heavy by the end of the day.

WTF goes in my free bag at the auto show now? They’re not big enough for groceries.

It’s gratifying to know that an automotive manufacturer is moving forward in this way. Aside from including them with their respective cars in a classic car sale, perhaps, these brochures are used for a rather limited time.

So a communication transmission problem?

“Due to the microchip shortage ...”

This makes me sad.

Please offer a pdf brochure and keep the prior year history, they are nuch more useful in the future buying a used car to understand the options

... due to recalls for spelling errors
