This. I live in a city which is trying to get rid of cars (and any form of motorised transport actually) and I do not interact more with humans.

I think this is a valid concern. I live in DC and the worst harassment I’ve gotten has been on the bus or Metro. Just this week someone was stabbed to death on the MetroCenter platform. If you don’t feel safe on transit, only those that can’t afford a car take it because others will drive for the convenience and

Because of cars? Or because of air conditioning, smartphones, social media Netflix, ESPN, fantasy leagues, online gaming, and the interwebs? We spend more and more of our lives interacting with machines, instead of humans, and it’s not just behind the wheel!

This ZJ Grand Wagoneer erasure will not stand!

It is baffling to me how they botched the design of this so badly. I really do like the overall shape, but the individual chrome window outlines is so distracting and looks cheap. I have no idea what they were thinking. How hard is it to just black out the pillars like literally every other car on earth? It would look

Finally, a clown car that looks big enough to fit all the clowns inside for a change.

That chrome around each window looks disjointed and terrible. Even the little Compass is a better design effort than this.

I don’t see buyers of this, the Escalade or any other hulking SUV with 500 hp worrying about fuel economy too much.  Maybe they’d rather spend less on gas, but they aren’t exactly choosing between a full tank and groceries.

THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE

Agreed, it's hideous. Although, there's no longer anything special about the Grand Cherokee either.

That’s a good point especially since just about every Jeep dealer is also a Chrysler/Ram/Dodge dealer now too. It doesn’t lead itself to a luxury buying experience.

Is now a good time to discuss how butt-ugly these things are? All of the yuppie parents in my town are buying them so I always see them sitting in the carpool line at school. It is hard to believe this car can look so bad and poorly designed when the new Grand Cherokee looks so good.

Would Jeep have been able to sell a 6 figure SUV in 2013 the way they can today? It seems like they have been on a multi-year climb into making luxury Jeeps more of a mainstay, but they had to let the luxury truck market build out this segment first.

GM pickups because they're hideous and you can hide a small house in the frontal blind spot from the top of the hood to the ground.

The new Hummer. It’s too big, it’s ugly, it mocks the whole idea of EVs and the jackass who passes me in one at 100 mph every morning thinks he’s immune to the laws of physics.

Hence the reason most of the dealers are next to the used car lot - why buy used when you can buy new with a warranty for the same price, even if the experience would be better with used?

Has no one noticed the dashboard-mounted handgun holster?

That’s a lot of money for a car that has probably spent the equivalent of several years idling while parked.

Prius is always the answer

Virginia is for lovers….of short shorts apparently.
