Definitely not as youthful looking as the Monte. Ford chose to capitalize on the outgoing T-Bird’s looks in a smaller package (the ‘79 shown here):

The 1980 Ford Thunderbird was originally supposed to be more like the jellybean-shaped 1983 model until some Ford guys overheard that GM was making a square-shouldered Monte Carlo for 1981 and went back and created the ill-fated ‘Squarebird.’

Merge those dang Rams back into Dodge. Didn’t hurt anyone!

My grandpa was set to buy a then-brand-new Dodge Omni. He brought it home for Grandma to see. She noticed it said ‘Omni’ on the back and ‘Horizon’ on the front fenders!
