Seems to me that the conversion does a nice job of making ‘what if’ into what is.

The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, styling-wise, at GM...
Yeah, I suppose those are a thing over here, too.
Sorry, no Commodores on this side of the pond other than the musical group with Lionel Richie.
“Station wagons and 4 doors will never be collectible, stay with 2 doors and especially convertibles. Stay away from Edsels and Corvairs too, they’ll never be worth anything.”
Remember when you would look at a used car and say, “HOW many miles?”
Oh, I don’t know, the 1950s seemed to have some colorful cars:
Hyundai Azera. Wasn’t expecting such a nice car when Enterprise gave me an upgrade at no extra charge. No wonder Oldsmobile died.
Set up a non-profit restoration fund for similar cars, so Ralphie doesn’t get any more cash.
Sorry to see all of the ‘no’ votes, because these are great to drive, not just in a village but also on the highway. It may seem a bit steep price-wise, but what used car isn’t these days? When I see twenty year old low mileage Hondas going for $8k, this Villager sounds like a bargain.
Come to DC and Northern Virginia sometime, and see how many of those 30,000 Accords are here. Why? I don’t know.
Thanks for showing off the Arrow Jet. The car I owned for the second half of college was an Arrow GT. Man, that was one fun car to drive for a college kid!
The Cruising Wagon followed that crazy 70s trend of vans being converted to drivable dream machines lined with shag carpeting, which then gave us the conversion vans of the 80s and 90s. Iconic, for sure.
The last Delta was supposed to come to the US and be badged as the Chrysler 100... or so we were told by many in the automotive press.
Those smaller independents were never seen as a threat to the Big Three because none of them were truly mass-market cars, -- they never sold anywhere near as many vehicles. They knew their place and just stayed in their own small market segments, never trying to directly compete.
Hey, I’m a fan of the Rogue Sport. leased one for three years. Went back to get another one last fall, but dealers only had the ones with the (ugly to me) 19-inch wheels and no color choices except black. Had to pass, but actually enjoyed that car/CUV/crossover.
Could’ve been made nicer with the addition of a real Continental kit for the rear end.
