Umm, that’s pretty much what happens every time you use your brakes. The whole car isn’t being stopped by the rear wheels (unless you’re driving the Dodge Diplomat I had in college), but most vehicles would withstand this abuse without ripping the axle free.

I would be okay with flames and death being the fate of anyone stupid enough to not only endanger the public in a highspeed chase, but also stupid enough to brake check a tahoe.
