Hey, I like to be involved in the driving experience. It doesn't make anyone less of a car guy to prefer newer technology, but letting the car take over the experience does make it less of a drive. Predictable, yes. Unwarranted, probably not. Deserving of name-calling? Definitely not.

Being involved in the driving experience does dictate being a 'real car guy' to an extent. Because tapping tabs is so enthralling during the usual hoonage? Just because someone comments on a car having something he/she prefers, everyone has to jump on the person's back and call them an elitist or dinosaur.

Who's to say he didn't? Plus, let's be honest: a Corvette is designed for fun.

He just couldn't take his favorite car having been beaten off by Ze Germans

You didn't even realize you were in the water, Raph.

It sounds like the guy stole $6M and then, for a year afterwards, stuck around to get caught? I'd be on my way off once I had finished gathering such a sizable sum... not that I would....

You still have to love the 308 GTS driven by the Miami Mice.

Damn, why did I think that? I'll change that to the second-gen CTS.

That Came With a Manual Transmission? (C&D)
My favorites have to be W126s (rare), the new Cayenne, and the Cadillac CTS (all variants, first and second gen). I can go on for days, but I won't. Also, on the topic of German land yachts, there are the older BMW 7ers. Lest we forget the Ferrari Calfornia (of which two

The Miata, RX7, and Smart were all somewhat controversial at the times of their release (one of these things is not like the other). There are also the early muscle cars that raised eyebrows in regards to both safety and purpose. The Mustang II was controversial due to being an economy car that couldn't stand up to

Put stickers on the plate.

"Okay, since we rushed it out there are a couple of kinks. Just don't rev it over 5k or fire will come through the vents and her boobs will combust."

I think with the GT-R, Nissan looked to have its own Veyron to be an amazing flagship only to realize, "hey, we can make money off of this computer on wheels!"

Don't get me wrong, I love the E39 big time. It's a wonderful and great-looking car. But the E34 is such a great representation of such a cool automotive era it's impossible to dislike! Maybe not impossible, but not everyone can be so tasteful as, say... you or me, for instance.

I knew that, sorry if it seemed like a direct response to you! I just thought I'd take that opportunity to give the E34 some love. But I wholly agree with you haha

The E34 is just so much prettier than the E39, and who can pass up a big, Bavarian six? I'd take an E34 and some cash any day, with its styling nestled perfectly between the 80s and 90s and, level of classiness, amazing drivetrain, and overengineered quality. Cocaine and 90s greatness- what's not to like?

The shrimp and broccoli submarine found in Japanese Subways is pretty strange. Nice avocado, sub eater.

Some cars we won't be able to enjoy 20 years from now. By then, this will be like that old 80s footage of muscle car destruction. Go and make hoonage, guys.

Holy overhang!
