What bothers me the most is how much enjoyment the crowd and especially the judges or whatever they are, are getting out of this. I wouldn’t put this on the level of horrifying, but god damn, the ignorance that’s taking place here is quite astonishing.

My country is similarly homogenous to Japan - I’d say that 95% of the population is Polish, with small number of Ukrainian, Belarussian, German, Russian, Turkish and Vietnamese people. I’ve met people who really can’t laugh at something unless it attack, or belittles someone else. That’s how they were brought up, that’s how they live their lifes, and nobody ever challenged that concept.

I really don’t see how there is any benefit from this. Some find it... funny? Is this the only way to deliver a joke?
