The real problem that I see, is that MOBAs are not fun to watch, and that is the genre that seems to be being pushed, hard. Counterstrike and Halo, ok, possibly - but LOL, HOTS, etc - these are not good esports to try to break into the mainstream with.

Some new one-dollar bill might try to steal the identity of this bill if it could read the serial number!

So, apropos of nothing, you started watching a MOBA and found it interesting? But not interesting enough to play it until a few years later, despite it being free to play?

I’m talking about what’s the norm among gamers. If you don’t play the MOBA, or at least SOME MOBA, it’s going to be boring to watch. Did you play other MOBAs when you started watching DOTA 2? Did you have friends who played who got you interested and watching? Probably. But to your average gamer who has no connection

Even if that’s true. you think that’s the norm?

So? More that that play MMOs daily, and those would also be boring to watch - as you admit below when you said

Yea, probably. But they’re going to fail because those MOBAs are not fun to watch by people who don’t play them.

There would also be lots for the commentators to talk about.

My prediction is that they begin with Rocket League. It’s a great game, very fun to watch, and easily understandable to the non-gamer. Plus it might get some crossover from sports fans.

When I was a kid, I wanted to stay up later than my bedtime to watch TV and whatnot, and my dad usually looked at the microwave clock to check the time. So I once punched in 8:45 into the microwave and didn’t hit “start,” so it appeared at a glance to be the time. It worked, and my dad still tells that story today

This is a crazy coincidence but I also just got myself a training lock and started learning how to pick - I have already gotten pretty good at a couple padlocks that have security pins. It’s a super fun hobby, and a cheap one at that (I asked everyone I know if they had old padlocks lying around that they had lost the

Yes, I believe so - there was an initial release review, and even a one-month-later followup review

Doesn't seem like it has a high replay value

Alcohol is a much bigger deal in the US, so no butterbeer. Instead the students just drink butter.

You do realize that he must have been an adolescent when he started smoking. I’m sure he completely agrees that the reasoning was idiotic - teenagers are idiotic, after all. But thanks for your rousing defense of personal responsibility, you strong, proud liberty-lover.

Wow, a free game (forcibly) given away free! What a deal!
