We broke a “virgin” in at the “night under fire” event in the picture and video on Saturday night. When the nitro guys launched, the look on his face was absolutely priceless. His first words after taking out his ear plugs were “what the fuck was that!?” Our reply, “Sixteen thousand horsepower.”
And this is why I’m worked up about another “passive” part put on the exhaust system. I guarantee they are monitored in some fashion, and once they go bad, or get clogged, or aren’t handled properly, some greedy dick in China will make a cheap copy of the original that won’t function properly and cause nothing but…
I mean, the first set, yeah, maybe it was driven with a misfire or something, the second set was literally garbage out of the box. The cheap aftermarket cats do not have a full load of Platinum, Palladium, and Rhodium in them. they normally have juuuuuust enough to turn the light off for a short while.
What’s worse it that this is the SECOND SET on that car. I did not install the first set, but they were the super cheap Eastern Catalytic junk.
