Picking that truck up for 5300$ was kind of a steal. Around here, that truck all fixed up the way you have it would easily bring over 10k.

Went to college in Lima, can confirm. Even the college attracted out-of-town RWNJs.
See, you say just fix it yourself, but there are many cars that require windshield removal to get the headliner out. That is no easy feat.
PUT SOME DAMN PANTS ON! I KNOW IT WAS YOU PICKING YOUR NOSE WHEN THE CASHIER ASKED IF YOU HAD ANY COUPONS!
Is Stef moonlighting as Torch?
There isn’t one thing in the world that makes me more angry than seeing somebody at the bank/grocery store at 11:30 on a Thursday wearing sweat pants. I don’t care if you worked 20 hours last night, put some damn pants on.
Really clean for the miles, not my taste.
I absolutely love that combo, and almost bought one, but the price at CarMax was just too high.
Evo interiors are not a great place to be.
Still real salty about yours, I see...
They are nice rides, but Lord that’s a lot of options.
I’d be 100% down for a new one, I just don’t see it happening anytime soon :(
IDK how far the options go, but MSRP on a new CX9 starts at 31k.
I wouldn’t even say half baked. Just seriously overpriced for the time. Window sticker on mine 32k, which is close to 40k in today’s dollars. Nobody is headed to a Mazda dealer looking to drop 40k.
Oh yeah, if I have to heat them, it gets a new bearing every time. I don’t screw around.
I have 3 sockets in my junk drawer that have the edges all mangled to hell from doing it. It normally works, but on some trucks, it requires the Mexican Heat Wrench too!
Hell, with a sharp enough bit, you can run the heads right off with an air hammer, then knock them through with a chisel.
If you take a look at the boxes the “better quality” ball joints come in, they will be labeled “PROBLEM SOLVER” which basically means MOOG added grease zerks and redesigned the boot. As I stated above, I definitely do not believe the hype with MOOG anymore. Too many issues.
I have been straying away from MOOG in my shop due to sway bar end links and bushings that last a year tops. I have had REALLY good luck with MAS products. They are normally half the price of the MOOG, but they are to the exact factory specs, so the shafts aren’t significantly larger, and they don’t have grease zerks,…
Ummmm, those are the easy ones. The solid front axle dodges are MUCH worse due to having to remove the hub, which is ALWAYS! ALWAYS! rusted so fricken bad to the knuckle. I have rigged up a couple of tools that actually use the P/S of the truck to push out the hubs, but that’s hard on the system, and doesn’t always…
