Yes anyone with an R next to their name

Fuck you. “Nats” fan since 1993 here (figure it out). I’ve been waiting a long ass time to watch my favorite team advance in the playoffs.

The home plate umpire was calling a lot of strikes that were clearly high and out of the zone from the first inning on, so the Nats may have felt like they had to swing at some of those bad pitches.

No, mate- what he means is that the correct full team name is “Tampontreal Ex-Rays”.

It’s “Ex-Rays”.

I’m really fond of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in DC. It’s the largest Catholic Church in North America and was started in 1920. Neo-Byzantine to make it stand out among the various basilicas and cathedrals, too. The special part, though, are the chapels inside. There are 70 of them, all honoring

So interesting, the things websites choose to hate.  This writer is angry that Netflix renewed a show.

This is good news, one of the better series that Netflix has put out. Funny sad and heartfelt.
Of course, it’s not “correct” to like Gervais on this pc-ruled site, but know that lots of us loved it. It wasn’t renewed just to piss you off (although the fact that it DOES is oddly satisfying).

When Werth came to you, we clapped a little. But then booed. Then he broke his ankle and we cheered. Finally, we tried to euthanize him in a kind of coup de grace.  But we couldn't spell it, so he got out alive.

Hamels made the first attempt, but only winged him. The resistance sent Pap next to attack him directly! It all makes sense now. Khan approves.

This is the only obvious take. Well done.

Literally all it took for me to end this was to say “I’m over it and really hope the Phillies just don’t sign him now.” about 6 minutes before the news broke.

You may be right. I recommend you not watch the Oscars, read any articles about them, or write any comments.

I felt like the reference in this review was there just to throw in a buzzword. And that it was used in a blanket way. “Oh look, there are two men having a tense confrontation. It must be toxic masculinity!” Were they expected to hug? I don’t see that being men with destructive notions of masculinity led Hoyt and Hays

Say what you will about #sponcon, at least it’s an ethos!

He’s been a member of the communist party since at least the Cold War.

Not 100% true, 10k cap on real estate tax crushes you if you’re used to deducting way more than that.

You are making this up and clearly don’t seem to understand how tax law changed in 2018 in the middle of the year.

Let me just pre-empt all the “sucks now,” “always sucked,” “sucked since ___” camp followers who are likely to flood into here. SNL is a treasure. It’s rightly an institution, and like any institution it has ups and downs and periods that are hard to compare with one another.
