I don't think Joaquin Phoenix has the imposing gravity to play Strange. Dr. Strange has an otherwordly, commanding presence and Joaquin, while a great actor, lacks that imposing stature.

I imagine that an AI could potentially get stuck in a recursive self improvement loop and never emerge.

I can't see this either. damnit.

Some of that footage looks CG, especially in the beginning.

There are so many potential factors at play here, that I don't believe it's a good indicator for team dynamic. Example: You give the interviewee a drink of water, and they haven't drunk it all. The interview is ending and they now have half a cup of water, plus whatever they brought in, and still need to shake

It's that line of thinking that tends to get us into messes; sometimes you have to think your way through a problem - that said, throwing the term "towel head" out there only serves to make you seem irrational.

Almost anything from Alastair Reynolds is like a swiss timepiece...

Holy crap. This is on Starz, and I watch it every damn time. It is a terrible terrible movie, but the part I find myself most horrified/intrigued by are the accents. I realize accents and vocal patterns shift over time, but holy hell...don't give me a movie with weird halted dialog and a bunch of "yes, Suh"'s.

HARD G!

Yep, Indeed, Nope, Ha!

SlenderMan's new groove.

really? I felt this movie was so rote and by the book in it's attempt to transcend and be interesting...

Love this movie, and even tried to make my family sit through it...didn't happen.

Agreed...the whole "gun kata" concept while campily awesome, was still campy which undermined it's grittiness a bit. Additionally, the story was stunted around the 2/3 mark...made some rushed jumps in story. Still a fun movie, but I wouldn't call it cutting edge.

The nipple emblems and all...

I got two.

ok. So this is sweet.
