The frames look like they are moving too fast, so it can't be doing one actual frame at a time. It looks more like it's 1sec, which would be 24-30 frames.

I think the whole point of comedy/satire is to not get it exactly right, but to embellish further with a biting edge and sharp tongue. Other "geeks" get so up in arms about this show, and forget that it's comedy. I'll also add that whether ultimately correct or not, the show mentions things like string theory, famous

They actually did a study and found that the "people" were one of the main reasons girls didn't engage with legos as much. The characters lacked character. I think the curves are useless, but having engaging faces is probably important.
