OOH OOH OOH I CAN DO THAT TOO!

You’re buying more than a badge, you’re trading toys for a dynamically superior chassis. Honda(and also Mazda) do a pretty damn good job of making a dynamically competent FWD sedan for a very reasonable price but entry-level sport-sedans(I say entry-level sport instead of entry level luxury, because you’re right an

I’ve never driven that road but I have made the drive from Denver to Estes Park and if I70 is anything like the highways I took up there I can see how any accident could really mess things up.

Really??? If you don’t mind, where out of curiosity? I know in the mountains you’re sometimes required to either carry chains or have winter rated tires but I’ve never heard of a restriction on driven wheels.

Can’t or won’t? ;)

You wouldn’t really think of them as competition but they’re comparable in both price and size and I can’t imagine any enthusiast shopping in the 30-grand range not giving the 3-series a sniff. I know what I’d have.

Honestly none of those would really be deal breakers or makers for me. But I couldn’t ever really see myself buying a new midsize sedan, and most midsize sedan buyers aren’t interested in a manual.

So what they’re saying is you can get the engine from the Civic Type R, except all the parts that make it special are changed so it’s making significantly less power and torque in a bigger, heavier car and way more than just a tune from Type R numbers. That’s like the guy saying his 2000 Chevy Tahoe has a “Corvette

(almost)Nobody’s ignoring the stick on the Mazda 6 or the Accord because you can’t pair it with leather seats, there just aren’t very many people who want to buy a midsize sedan with a manual.

It wasn’t very long ago that Honda was in that same boat. Perceptions change and Kia has been doing a remarkable job of changing theirs. Take a look at what they were selling even just 10 years ago.

Is it just me or do the Lexus, Audi and sort of Genesis look better with the smaller grilles? I think the Lexus looks better even with ONLY the functional bits and the Audi and Genesis are close to looking better, and would look much better with just a little nose restyling(the renders look awkward, but if the grille

Do your best with what they posted here? Idk what you were going for with that

In about September. Then I spend a few weeks regretting my life choices until it starts to rain and I put them all back on and enjoy my dry and warm box

The New Jeep Wrangler/CJ: Exactly like the last one but updated just enough to slip through current safety requirements and fitted with a more modern engine since 1945

It’s the ultimate symbol of automotive opulence. Sure there are more expensive cars, but those are pretty much all supercars(and any that aren’t lack brand recognition) that don’t project as much attitude as being chauffeured around in a Rolls

Yeah but it’s a pretty major part that’s still shared with one from 20 years ago(ls1 came late nineties)

Still an LS-based engine and a very similar gearbox to the T56

It’ll have the same old school feels by then. You ever drive a proper old school muscle car? I’ve driven a 2nd gen f-body(350 sbc/th350 trans. Heads to x-pipe and exhaust ended there, thing was pretty boss)  and the difference between that and a 4th gen is just as big as the difference between a 4th gen and a current

(I’m just going to use numbers to address each paragraph bc too lazy to quote)

To put things in a little perspective a current V6 Camaro puts out 335 horsepower. An LT1 4th-gen Camaro put down 275 and when the LS1 came it bumped to 305. A Camaro Z28 in 1994 cost about $20,000, which with inflation turns out to around $33,000 today(interesting, $20,000 was also about how much the cheapest V8
