6 year old Subaru means that the engine was eating and leaking oil like crazy and probably shat itself so he probably replaced it with refurb engine. My friend has a vintage Forester and basically keeps adding oil till this thing will finally die. Probably somewhere in the middle of Death Valley when he is out camping

Once you go Blackwood, you never go back.

The General’s management must be hugely out of touch with what people want. It took them ages to go mid-engine with the ‘vette but when the C8 came out, they sold like hot cakes. The Blazer could have been a money-printing Jeep rival like the Bronco but GM played it safe with a C1XX based CUV.

You aren’t going to believe this, but they sell two versions of what you want already!

Intel has taken some bumps and bruises the past couple of years, but it is a real firm that has earned its place as a blue-chip company (no pun intended).  Conventional wisdom says:  benefit of the doubt / wait and see.

There’s a lot of observation bias. You don’t notice the white F-150 with steel wheels and street tires in the right lane when the coal-rolling Ram 350 with a 8" body lift on 35" mud tires and a trump flag races to pass you on the right and slip in just before clipping that F-150.

No kidding when I grabbed that image off of Google I didn’t even notice that the car actually had Oregon plates. There ya go.

Portland, Oregon

You must know something that all the OEM’s combined don’t know!  You should apply for a job!

I’ve used mine for family and hauling, even both at the same time. I can fit a full weeks worth of beach vacation gear, suitcases, etc in the bed with a tonneau cover on it to secure it from the elements and eyes, and have a very comfortable cabin inside for my family. No need for a rooftop carrier and I can just

Another list of shitty takes by miserable people.

Car culture is plagued by tribalism and cargo cult mentality, so I’m not surprised that enthusiasts would be turned off by certain brands and models.

I can’t agree with the Ford Maverick as long as that base price stays low. But the line about the Charger being the “Florida of cars” is perfect.

It is a rear wheel drive, 2 seater sportscar available brand new in the market with a manual gearbox.

I’m personally excited because it means you can buy an updated version of what is practically a JDM late-bubble/golden era car with up to date tech. The best of both worlds.

What we uncovered here is actually the groundwork for the next generation Z06: Duramax. Powered by a new 3.0 liter turbodiesel, the mid-engine Corvette C8 will have a stump-ripping 800 lb-ft of torque, and redline at 3,600 RPM.

Just like the Outback is literally the Legacy with more ground clearance and gray body-cladding :)

They used to call it the Outback Sport.  Same idea.

If you live in a snowy area or have off-road intentions, no, the increased ground clearance is definitely not “pointless.”

The secret sauce to the crosstrek is a trifecta of affordability, versatility and capability.
