Picked up my hatch in WRB last week! I can't believe they dropped the hatch for the new generation.

Also, there was some discussion on an earlier post about this series on io9 wondering how they'll handle his chain-smoking. My thought is that MadMen gets away with it, though NBC may be a little more cautious.

My mixed feelings have mixed feelings about this show.

Thank you, I'll grit my teeth through the first season, awaiting character development.

In the Dallas area we just had it on one of our regular local stations that we've had forever, but I would think that after the HDTV thing added a bunch of stations even more people can watch it now.

Priceless, in any century.

I know I've brought this up before, but the ending of Hannibal pissed me off to no end. I wanted them to stick the book ending, and the retreated from it. Grrrr.

Honestly... He looks like Daniel Craig, and I am completely okay with this.

Saving Mr. Banks was excellent. A bit sappy, but I am a sap.

We also don't have many Disney movies like Tron that are about adults anymore. That's kinda sad.

Be nice.

Dear christ this is fucking awful on mobile, which is the only way I surf the web. I predict my reading of Jalopnik, io9, etc, declining dramatically. The (not so) little notifications menu stays open and makes reading anything a pain and a half, which is obnoxious. The old layout was dramatically preferable.

I'm not trying to be a dick, but I am because I'm so angry at this nonsensical update.

RIP tiled comments, the one thing KINJA consistently did right.

I will stick with my cheap, plastic, Ikea cutting boards. Mostly, these would just get slowly destroyed in my kitchen; especially the Pi one. Those numbers would just get slowly ground out of existence.

I just find it funny how last generation no one gave a single thought about framerate or resolution on consoles, now all the sudden it's all anyone cares about. Why the sudden switch? I'm the happy owner of one next gen console, hopefully the other one soon.

Which is why I don't eat seafood. I also don't eat things where you have to eat everything- skin (or the equivalent thereof), muscles, internal organs, the contents of the digestive tract etc - which is another reason why bugs are a no-no. If push comes to shove, I'd rather go vegetarian.

Exactly why I don't eat shellfish, in addition to bugs.

Why would you need to consider eating bugs in a western country? Most western nations produce enough food to feed 15-30 times their population. As an example, New Zealand (pop. 4.6 million) produces and exports enough food for 100 million people. I'd expect the USA to be able to feed at least 10x their own population.

I will eat rabbit, goat or pretty much any mammal, fish or lizard/amphibian. I will eat most meat substitutes, which if prepared correctly and spiced are delicious. I will eat whatever form of vat grown muscle tissue eventually becomes viable for mass production. I will not eat any form of insect or crustacean
