I’ve been slacking on building a site, but I think it’s time to get that done. Plus I’ve also noticed a problem getting Soundcloud to link, so it’s probably time to migrate my shit to my own site.

Yeah, but I don’t want to support major labels, and I think DCMA requests are bullshit. As an artist, I don’t care if people sample me or rehost my stuff. I’d prefer not to support a hosting service that’s in the pocket of giant faceless media companies.

What are better options for hosting/streaming audio? I’ve got a sideline as a musician and I use soundcloud now for hosting rough mixes of songs I’m working on before I release them as a way to get them to people who are interested (bookers, fans, friends).

Make it a staple! It’s great. I also love that it’s much less labor intensive to cook than risotto with a lot of the same flavors and textures, so it’s a great substitute if you’re exhausted or doing a million things at once and don’t want to worry about fucking up your arborio.

Farro rules. It’s tasty, easy to cook, nutritionally great, and takes tons of flavor from whatever you cook with it. I just had a marinated pork tenderloin with wild mushroom sauce on a bed of farro, it was rad. I like to also use it in vegetarian soups to give them more body and protein.

In terms of consumption, sure. In terms of creating noise and drowning out dissenting voices, well, it really doesn’t take that many people. It just takes a few people who post REALLY often (and/or employ sock puppets). It’s a flaw of the internet.

The thing I like about Bernie is that he is explicitly running to force the Democrats to the left and seems to have no sour grapes thus far if he doesn’t get the nomination. It’s refreshing to see the left so unified for once.
