I think the correct answer here is Doc Hammer and Jackson Publick.

I like to describe ASoIaF as an immature person's idea of mature moral complexity.
That would give a whole new meaning to the title "Batman: Arkham Knight."
Eh, that threat would mean more if we didn't already have the bad Serenity comics as part of the show's official canon.
"As long as he smiles like an idiot (as seen above), he's going to have it down."
It's pretty obvious that it's a cynical marketing ploy. Saying Thor is now a woman just has a much catchier ring to it than saying a woman is now going to wield Thor's hammer for a while until they decide to bring him back.
This video actually did help me gain a better grasp of why I hate looking at Michael Bay's movies, particularly that comparison shot of the bomb drop in Pearl Harbor and the Optimus drop from one of the Transformers movies. The first shot is dynamic and cool-looking, but as he's continued to up the ante with more…
I wouldn't say they needed to keep reinventing the character, as there have been some very good versions of the turtles before (I'm quite fond of the geekiness of the 2003 version of Mikey) but this new version of the turtles is especially good. It has the best balance of humor, action, an character-driven drama of…
It's not so much pure hate-watching as much as love-hate-watching, but Game of Thrones has some deep problems that I can't help but watch with fascination over what the hell G.R.R. Martin and/or the showrunners are thinking. There some characters and moments of epic drama that are absolutely amazing (Tyrion, duh) but…
So Avatar 2 will be a remake of the second Ghost in the Shell movie... That might not be so bad, actually.
Going by the first film's precedent, we should expect Handwavium to be an actual technical term used in the movie.
I love Speed Racer so much. It is the most unabashedly joyful movie I have ever seen.
That's part of why I loved District 9 so much. Those aliens looked like giant Lovecraftian cockroaches, but damn if that movie didn't make me care about them and root for them even more than the human characters. Although even those aliens had very expressive human-like eyes to help establish that natural sense of…
A good movie with great marketing and lots of brand recognition did better than a bad movie with shit marketing and no brand recognition? Truly this will go down right beside the disappearance of Amelia Earhart as one of history's great mysteries.
Yeah, Batman, Superman, Batman Beyond, Justice League, and Teen Titans all had pretty good runs. I guess if you want to compare them to the source comics, which have run for decades, then yeah, they were cut short, but they're not really in the same boat as Young Justice or Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
I do love that the alien is now known as "Big Chap."
I'm going to be so pissed if Guardians of the Galaxy bombs. Especially considering the same exact story under the name Star Wars would be guaranteed to make a billion dollars. And I guarantee this movie will be better and more in the vein of the original trilogy than whatever manipulatively nostalgic, revenge-driven…
Wanda Sykes guest starring as some D-List Marvel hero would actually get me to tune back in.
I think the problem was that it was way too good a commercial to be for something as stupid as Axe.
Eh, I can't get too mad at Clark Gregg for this. This is the frustration of a guy who's finally made it big and gotten a chance to be THE star of a major TV show, one that's got a built in audience from the biggest film franchise on the planet and the geek cred of the Whedon name, and it's ended up being a boring…
