I wish we had Next Gen stats back then so we could see how many yards he actually ran, rather than just how many he gained. It was not uncommon for him to run 40+ yards for a two yard gain.

The issue comes in where it’s medically impossible for some small percentage of people to get vaccinated. Herd immunity occurs around 95% vaccinated, which would help the .05% who legit can’t get vaccines to never get exposed to the disease. With vaccination rates dropping, those few are at greater risk.

Eventually, the cost of rebuilding will exceed the cost of fixing the problem. A generation of rich white people’s deaths later, things will change. I have great hope for humanity; I just won’t live to see it realized.
We’ve had reactor designs that are simply incapable of undergoing meltdowns for decades. Reactors can be designed with a wide underlying empty cavity that if breached due to failure would drain the reactor and diffuse the material to the point where nuclear fission would stop naturally.
