I bought a 2007 CRV circa 2010 and there was a young, newlywed couple ahead of me wanting a used Civic. I sat in horror as the sales person talked them into a brand new CRV because “the payment is only $20 a month more.”. Nevermind it went from like 30 months to 72.

Exactly what happened. She left her previous post to spend more time with her family. After six months of being with them, they told her “You need to get a job.”

Many people soak pans and don’t get to them until much later in the day or even the next day. This is a recipe for disaster with cast iron and probably scares some people off.

I recall having cars back in the 80's and early 90's where there was a slider with heat on the far right and AC on the far left, so it wasn’t possible to choose both. That was quite a few cars ago though and I haven’t seen one in the last 20 years that couldn’t do this. Maybe OP drives old clunkers exclusively?

Well, in this case (luckily) the cops didn’t shoot. Like it or not, SWAT is supposed to bust down the door, guns drawn, ready for anything, and assess the actual threat level. That’s exactly what they did, so kudos to them for seeing a sleeping young woman and not some bogeyman.

As a “data people” (we call ourselves Data Professionals, just fyi) with 25 years of experience in data and 20 of that with a big corporation, I can assure you that the people managing this are NOT data people.

Alas, fast food meat patties are unconvincing substitutes for edible food.  When someone comes up with a convincing plant based prime rib eye substitute, we’ll talk.

Their X axis is the line of scrimmage, not the length of the field goal (non football person?). For a 41 yard field goal, the line of scrimmage is typically the 24 yard line. So it’s closer to 80% success.

14 suspensions? This is the second article I’ve read that said that, but I can only find 4 in his history. Can anyone list them because I sure can’t find them?

It’s not his 14th suspension though. I know what the article says, but it’s factually incorrect. This is “only” his 4th suspension.  I’m still fine with the ruling.

It does seem like they did away with the “no coming within 5 yards of Tom Brady” rule they were enforcing a few years ago.  You still get a roughing call for making eye contact with him though.

Or he pulls an Eli and says he won’t play for Miami.

No way! Dak is amazing. They need to lock him up for the next 50 years at a bazillion dollars per snap.

Spoiled rich kid syndrome.  I recall seeing an auto-biographical spot with him ages ago where he said his family lived in a big house on a hill overlooking a bad part of town and he’d march down there with some of his friends looking for fights.  His parents failed - no someone about it.

BJ is “Baby Jay”as his father was also Jay Dee.  Possibly a little less offensive that way?

Well the hundred or so people who witnessed the joke all got it, even if you do not.

Living out west, most Eagles games are not aired so we used to go an Eagles bar to watch the games. We equipped my infant daughter with a tiny little McNabb jersey and a Dallas pacifier...because you know, Dallas Sucks!
